Direct Drive tail is the way to go. Nearly all micro helis now come with direct drive motor and prop. The new 2004 GWS Dragonfly comes with upgrade which includes a GWS ep-4530 prop. Go for this prop...

Yeah upgrade to CNC swashplates. I kept breaking the balls off the stock plastic swashplates. CNC swashplates are great - they are very tough and give you better cyclic control. Aren't cheap though...

The stock aerohawk main motor is crap! It draws to much current. It is so 'clunky' if thats the right word! A motor shaft should able to be turned smoothly with little resistance (when not running)....

EDP 50XC DD conversion. You mean the GWS kit don't you? I see helihobby don't sell that kit, only the
propellers.

I thought direct drive propellers would make the motor work harder...
