RE: My 2300 only likes one prop

That is 100% correct. I'm not saying that everone who flys RC is a RCU member and makes his or her purchasing decisions based on what they read here in the forums..........but~~~ah,,,, well alot do....

RE: My 2300 only likes one prop

The one I have has been taken apart and checked out . All looked fine to the naked eye. When I tried the Perry carb and pump they checked out as well. And as for the tank , it was taken apart and...

RE: My 2300 only likes one prop

I finally gave up . The last senerio took the fight outta me.
120 Edge 540-T
Bisson muffler, F-plug, 15% CoolPower, large tubing, blah, blah, blah.
Had it running great on a 17x6 APC. Nice...

RE: My 2300 only likes one prop

I see RCU as a public help desk for all RC hobbiest. And from the hits this thread gets every day I'd bet that there are many unhappy G2300 owners out there who simply don't post their thoughts out...

RE: My 2300 only likes one prop

Sorry, guess I'm just frustrated about all this. I usually have little or no trouble with any of my engines. And the ones that were tough to tune got a bit more of my bench time but run great now. I...

RE: My 2300 only likes one prop

What is that supposed to mean ?

I have to agree with Not24. Your words don't help our troubled engines run better. Many of us are not newbies either. I've had two weird running engines in my...

RE: My 2300 only likes one prop

Not24,,, have you flown with your final combination yet ? The reason I ask is because when I last posted that many of my problems were solved on the bench,, I went out yesterday and started having...

RE: My 2300 only likes one prop

Ok,,, got it running like a tank.
Unpinched the Bisson muffler stacks. Put the stock carb back on. Richen the low and adjust the high till it all smooths out.
Replaced the F-type plug with a Fox...

RE: My 2300 only likes one prop

I used a dowl rod sanded to fit snug into the stack closest to the vent tap. I then bent the end slightly over the rod and see zero oil coming from it so it must be sealed good. The other pipe is...

RE: My 2300 only likes one prop

I went back to the Perry carb on my G2300. Put a Bisson Pitts muffler "crimped" on it and fired up. Heads and tails better than the stock carb. Just need to play with the low end a bit more. That's...

RE: My 2300 only likes one prop

Interesting,,, plus I've read this before about the 5% PM. Do you think it would be good for my OS160FX too ?

I can't prove this theory,, nor am I a chemical engineer. But a flying buddy made...

RE: My 2300 only likes one prop

I will take your advice on the Spitfire. Those of you that have retracts know it's tough enough to keep them straight when landing with power on let alone in a deadstick. The Spit does glide well for...

RE: My 2300 only likes one prop

I appreciate good reporting and testing. Especially on equipment that I own like the G2300.
My first attempts at running this engine ended with deadsticks every flight after a factory break-in...
