RE: BME Aircraft 30% Extra330L

avatar,

I too have used the MPI's for years now and never had a problem with them until this year. Vibration did cause the plastic back retaining cover to come off thus turning off the switch...

RE: BME Aircraft 30% Extra330L

Thanks John,

We're working very hard on new items and even if we do not keep this Extra around, our future aircraft will be even better.

RE: BME Aircraft 30% Extra330L

I'll check on mine and let you know. Some of them are going to depend on where you put your hardware. But I'll let you know what the length’s to the servos are.

RE: BME Aircraft 30% Extra330L

NP, he is using that ZDZ on our Edge. The Edge will take 2-1/2" or 3" standoffs with a DA depending where you want the CG. Since the cowl is fixed on the Extra, you'll need to be correct with...

RE: BME Aircraft 30% Extra330L

Yarom,

It should be 3" standoffs.

cshepherd,

The manual states that the motor must be mounted 6-13/16" from the firewall. If your within that range with the ZDZ you should be fine. ...

RE: BME Aircraft 30% Extra330L

The planes have not been coming in tail heavy but the CG stated in the manual is conservative. Have you flown the plane yet at 6 inches? I think I am closer to 6 ½.

Hope this helps,

RE: BME Aircraft 30% Extra330L

John,

I stole this from Davids thread. If this is what your tubes look like you can cut one for your vent line and be done with it. I not sure why they put all those bends in it in the first...

RE: BME Aircraft 30% Extra330L

John,

No issues with the tank and I used the three line setup. The tubes are a pain once bent to get back in the tank but that goes for any tank. I never looked at the tanks in the production...

RE: BME Aircraft 30% Extra330L

RE: BME Aircraft 30% Extra330L

Hi Boby,

I used 1.5 arms with the rods connected at the 1.25 hole. So 1.25 would be fine. I use the 1.5's just in case I need them for other future aircraft. 3" on the rudder is perfect.

Looks like your getting close. Yeah, I had one of the blind nuts for the stab fall out when I was assembling mine. I was able to get in there with the suggestion to you I made. I...
