RE: OFFICIAL RAZE ST OWNERS THREAD

RRoyPP - that's a nice looking Raze! Your paint job looks good to me.

Damn, I miss my Raze ST.

RE: OFFICIAL RAZE ST OWNERS THREAD

Thanks for the good words mentat! I appreciate it.

Devilchrist -

The people with Flux's are running the CC/Neu MMM 2200kV setup (rebranded by HPI). Most truggy racers run Neus or Medusas...

RE: OFFICIAL RAZE ST OWNERS THREAD

devilchrist -

I'm definitely interested in your 3PM! I call dibs!!!

I have the Turnigy Accucel-6 charger and it works well for me. It has all the features I need (including a balancer)...

RE: OFFICIAL RAZE ST OWNERS THREAD

I told mentat to avoid the Zippy 2s 4000mAh hardcase LiPos. Those have terrible soldering internally and though the cells are probably accurately rated at 100A, the pack isn't. The pack is 60A at...

RE: OFFICIAL RAZE ST OWNERS THREAD

RE: OFFICIAL RAZE ST OWNERS THREAD

Most any truggy springs will fit. The thing to look for are the spring rates (if available) or the stiffness descriptions (soft, medium, hard, extra hard, etc.). Ofna, HPI, Hot Bodies, Thunder...

RE: OFFICIAL RAZE ST OWNERS THREAD

MM = Mamba Max
MMM = Mamba Monster Max

The Mamba Max was released earlier and every reference to "MM" made on any board refers to the Mamba Max. The Mamba Monster used to be called the Mamba...

RE: OFFICIAL RAZE ST OWNERS THREAD

The MM is not worth it. For an extra $25, you can get an MMM. Really, I don't see why anyone would buy a MM over an MMM when the cost difference is so minimal relative to the FAR superior thermal...

RE: OFFICIAL RAZE ST OWNERS THREAD

mentat, devilchrist -

Go to RC-Monster and pick up an RCM motor mount for the Raze. It's on his site now (he recently put it up). Good mount.
If you're using an AM or FM RX, keep it as far...

RE: OFFICIAL RAZE ST OWNERS THREAD

60A ESC won't be enough for a 1/8 truggy. And by 2x 3s if you mean 6s total, most 60A ESCs can't handle that. If you meant 2x 3s in parallel, that will work, but a 60A would still struggle and be...

RE: OFFICIAL RAZE ST OWNERS THREAD

I wouldn't say Li-Ions are "safer" than LiPo. I have a decent amount of experience with LiIons and know many people that have tons of experience and they can explode just as violently as LiPo or any...

RE: OFFICIAL RAZE ST OWNERS THREAD

Well, I decided to sell my brand new Raze ST that I just got last week. I was going to convert it to brushless, but another truck has caught my eye. I do really like the Raze, but I've been eyeing...

RE: OFFICIAL RAZE ST OWNERS THREAD

I doubt Duratrax will discontinue parts for the truck immediately. They have too many of these out there that would disappoint customers if they discontinue parts completely. While Tower's...

RE: OFFICIAL RAZE ST OWNERS THREAD

I agree. I think it's a myth that you must get the top tier truggies to be competitive at any level. I think if you're simply competing at the club level, you can be competitive. ...

RE: OFFICIAL RAZE ST OWNERS THREAD

I just got mine in camo a few days ago. Looks really nice. I do notice where some costs were saved such as the philips screws instead of hex screws and hinge pins that use e-clips to capture them. ...
