RE: Art-Tech Shark 450

I use 2.4 GHz. If you don't I think it's 35 MHz, perhaps 72 MHz - not 100% sure as I have never used it.

RE: Art-Tech Shark 450

No, I bought from Hobbyfly, but have had quite a few quality issues with mine, and have waited a long time on needed spare parts. Luckily T-Rex parts fits for the most parts, but not always. All...

RE: Art-Tech Shark 450

I promised to report some part numbers for Align spare parts that work on the Shark 450, once I had tried them out. Point in using Align spare parts being that they are often readily available. Here...

RE: Art-Tech Shark 450

Hi there

I don't really know how many members we are in the national rc union. I have just started this summer, and can see I have many hours of both joy and frustration ahead of me now :)

I...

RE: Art-Tech Shark 450

I'm replacing my stock servos with HXT900s from hobbycity and am having trouble getting the servo arm balls to fit nicely without rubbing against the servo gear case on big throws.

On a T-Rex the...

RE: Art-Tech Shark 450

Go and watch the videos from Finless Bob (google them) and get a simulator that works. That should get you going.

RE: Art-Tech Shark 450

Is this (http://www.snhobbies.com/product_info.php?cPath=22_38&products_id=460) the one at $60? Says it's a 450S, not a V2. Or is it this ...

RE: Art-Tech Shark 450

Thanks. I'll have a look at http://www.ehirobo.com/shop/product_info.php?cPath=173_175&products_id=6308.

And if I wanted to complete the conversion to be able to use stock Align parts on aux gear...

RE: Art-Tech Shark 450

Great with the CopterX head.

I think one of my two tail output shaft bearings is a little rough after the crash. Can those bearings be bought alone? For the T-Rex?

RE: Art-Tech Shark 450

Will a CopterX Metal Main Rotor Head Set V2 fit the Shark?

PS. I will be back on what Align parts fit my Shark soon. Trying them out right now.

RE: Art-Tech Shark 450

Excellent help rotorhead. Thanks!

Does it matter for which T-Rex 450 version I order for flybar and boom? I see there's both a 1006 and 1264 for flybar. And perhaps also different version for...

RE: Art-Tech Shark 450

Thanks. The main gear did indeed fit and is running fine. Or was, until this evening when the Shark just dropped to the ground :( First crash. Damage is not severe though (at least not by current...

RE: Art-Tech Shark 450

Will any T-Rex 450 upper main gear fit an Art-Tech Shark 450 heli?

My stock Shark upper main gear is stripped an I'm having trouble finding any dealer with the item in stock. My gear has 6 screws...

RE: Art-Tech Shark 450

Front left adjustment knob on included Art-Tech radio with RTF Shark 450. Adjust switch (lower right) needs to be unlocked for adjustment to have an effect.

RE: Art-Tech Shark 450

You can lower hover rpms if needed by turning PIT down, but be aware that you can't know what it was set to from the dealer/factory before you play with it, as the knob can be turned with effect if...

RE: Art-Tech Shark 450

And this refers to switching from a stock non-2.4-GHz system, right?

I'm asking since the Shark 450 I've got is stock RTF with 2.4 GHz, and I need to know how much of an improvement I can expect...

RE: Art-Tech Shark 450

It seems people in here are very glad for a TX upgrade to their Shark. Is this primarily because they came from a 35/72 MHz system to 2.4 GHz or because of the TX itself?

I'm already on 2.4 GHz...

RE: Art-Tech Shark 450

Are there common quality issues with the Shark? I think I'm seeing more and more of it, unfortunately.

I've used under 10 batteries with it, and hardly been in the air, only doing very basic...

RE: Art-Tech Shark 450

I'm flying it with the stock lipo, but am nowhere close to pushing it to it limits since I've only just started rc.

The reason I'm considering a more efficient motor is for usage with A123 3S1P...

RE: Art-Tech Shark 450

RE: Art-Tech Shark 450

Mine isn't and I'm 100% it never has been - the 1-pin lead for the gyro gain from the gyro is shorter than the other multi-pin-lead and it can't reach the receiver. My gyro is placed high, behind the...

RE: Art-Tech Shark 450

RE: Art-Tech Shark 450

My Shark 450 V2 (believe it's a 2008 model) with V3 gyro is out of adjustment.

What are recommended initial settings of PIT and PLT for a beginner setup?

And for limit and gain on the gyro?...
