Maybe I missed it ,,but what ESC's do you use ??

This could be a company thing with CC only ??? . I am using phoenix 60's in the V -22 and have not talked to any other company about this .

Now I can see that you have no problems with this setup,,but I have been told by CC that you can only have 12 " between the ESC and motors .... but you can have upto 24 " between the batteries and...
