Sonic 8000 Kit
#1
I have purchased a new unassembled Sonic 8000 kit that was originally purchased back in 2002 from Great Northern Models.
In the assembly manual it states that the ECU and turbine must be returned for final balancing after assembly in order to reprogram the ECU for max RPM.
Can this be done in the states ?
Additionally, It seems I only received an assembly manual but no operating manual. Is one still available ?
Thanks,
Ivan

Hello Ivan,
I got your call late last evening and here are the resposnes to your questions:
1. the bearings have an > on the outer race. The POINT of this arrow is to POINT to the back of the Compressor and the Back of the Turbine wheel. When both bearings are on the shaft, the POINTS of the arrows face AWAY from each other.
2. The compressor spacer is shaped like a top hat. the Large Flanged dia. is against the back of the compressor and this spacer goes between the back of the compressor and the front of the forward bearing.
3. YES, you can send the 8000 to me for full balancing. The cost is $100 + shipping. DO NOT fly or run above idle in an unbalanced state.
