Default De-rated thrust

Is it possible to de-rate the thrust on a Simjet 1700 SP?

Default IR terminal

I believe if you have the IR terminal you can derate the thrust. I am sure Kevin will chime in once he returns from the Thetford Jet meet.

Correct!

The end user can derate the maximum thrust themselves using the IRDT, or we can do it for you.

Default De-rated thrust

Ok.. That's good news..

A few more Q's:

I downloaded the manual for the IRDT, and understand there is 3 possible thrust-settings to choose from, and that these three are preset from factory.

Any idea what outputs one could expect on these three different settings on the 1700 SPP?
....and can these three preset values be adjusted to suit customers needs by dealer / factory, or are these set permanently?

Are there any limts to how much the engine can be derated?

The 3 settings in the IRDT are factory preset increments. (The default setting is the highest one.) I'll get back to you with how much each increment dials back the thrust on the 1700SPP.

In any case, if for some reason the IRDT doesn't give you the thrust setting you want, I can set the output to EXACTLY what you need.
