Guys,
Who here is running a P300RX?? Any reports? Good or bad??
Interested in noise too. Someone said they were crazy loud. Is that true?
All comparisons would be against a 200SX as these are the 2 turbines I'm considering for my Tomahawk Hawk 100.
Rgds,
Mark

How are you going to carry enough fuel for a p300 when I talked with Goetz he said the tank is 5.2 liter, hence they recommend a 180-200N turbine.
I saw the tomahawk mk 66 fly in ob a behotec 180 Gold plenty of power, 42lbs dry

300 will not be an issue. Mine will be far from standard and 7L won't be a problem if needed.
Just need to get some facts first though.

I'm never ever gonna stick a "new" engine in one of my planes! I wait until the engine has been on the market for a year or so before sticking it in any of my planes
Kasper has had his share of flameouts on the P300!

Sorry Oli,
I know that the BF engines probably are great etc, but I'm never gonna buy engines (or other high-priced items that can need regular service etc) from small companies. I have seen way too many "single" man companies go down the drain that I want to put my hard earned money into them [
]
Don't get me wrong, I'm sure they make great engines and so on, but companies like that tend to rely on only 1 or maybe 2 persons, these I try to stear away from.
Just my personal opinion
A "good" example is SimJet here in Denmark, they were once great technically, with a very few key person(s), now they are gone....

All together BF draws manpower and expertise of nearly 30 persons. I am not really sure that we can talk about a single man company here. BTW BF is selling about 30 engines per month to the UAV industry. This is now 75% of their market.
