Hey this is my first time attempting to start it up but I must be doing something wrong....i think it has to do with the towerhobbies glow starter I have. The battery feels warm but the part that goes onto the glow plug is not, also the glow plug on the car is not warm....is this my problem?
Also when I plug the exhaust and pull the cord a few times I don't see fuel going up to the carb, it just went up a tiny bit but maybe that's pressurized enough?
I know it has to be something to do with the glow starter or priming, any help would be appreciated.

You can check the plug and glow starter by removing the plug from the engine, and hooking it to the glow starter, it should glow extremely bright right out to the end of the coil, if it does then its cool.
If your only seeing the fuel move a short distance up the fuel line then your issue is likely priming. You need to prime it until the fuel reaches the carb, and then prime it a tad bit more. If no ammount of priming gets fuel to the carb then you likely have a leak in the tank, pipe or fuel line. Check that the fuel tank cap is sealing tightly, thatis usually where the problem is.

Thanks man
I actually got it started but I have another question......when it's at idle it just likes to roll about 5 mph itself forward and putting it in reverse makes it stop but then there is no reverse. I want it to idle for 2-3 minutes with the glow starter on it to warm it up but i can't with it rolling away!! Let me know thanks man

It sounds like either your idle is up too high or else your clutch spring is off. Try turning the idle down and see if that helps, if not check the clutch spring.

I just had that exact same problem... I am kina new to the hobby but here is how I fix it... if you look your servo you will notice that both the throttle and the brake are connected. So what’s happening is when you push up on the remote your pushing the throttle arm back witch is closing the valve that controls how much gas your engine is getting. When your car is not running, disconnect the gas line if your tank isn’t empty (So you don’t flood the engine while your fixing this.) and take off the air filter on the engine... turn on the remote and car and push up on the throttle... You will probably notice that when you push up on it the valve closes almost completely up. This means you’re closing off the gas to the engine which is why your truck is turning off... If that is the case you should see a screw somewhere near the throttle are (This is an adjustable stop for the valve).. You can adjust that screw to so that when you push up on the remote the valve (hole you see when you removed the air filter) it dose not close completely you should be able to see that a small section of the vale is still open once you adjust the screw correctly... (I have a OS CRX .15 motor on my RC10, for me that screw was just next to the air filter and NOT the one that the Throttle are is connected too... that one controls the gas/air richness)...
As far as you car going forward in Idle... that can be solved by adjusting the position of the brake lever while the car is in Idle... I would do this once you know the engine was tuned well and all else has failed... the Idea behind this is that you want the brake lever to apply more force on your brake while in Idle. (try trimming your throttle knob down on the remote after the car has warmed up a bit)...
Hope this helps...

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that it may not be the idle adjustment, but could be a improperly set linkage or even the throttle trim on your remote.
Check the trim on the TX first, as it may be set too far to the right. That is probably the most common cause of a car taking off.

I didnt know gas cars had reverse.Do they? Dont leave your starter on that long. It is not needed. You can prime it by letting your gas lid snap shut a few times. This will push gas through.

No, the RC10GT does NOT have reverse. period, end of story. what he was talking about was pushing the trigger for braking..
do what tommy said and you'll be good.
