Hi guys,
Does anyone have a link to a manual for the single JetTronic electronic brake valve?
Failing that, and hoping to save buying an extra JR MatchBox (channel limited with a DX7) can someone let me know if I can connect the valve with a Y-lead to my elevator channel and set the valve to only operate at full (or close to full) down elevator input?

I tried to make it work since it sounded like a good idea. I discovered two problems; one - there is no way to turn off the brake operation when in flight (probably resulting in bleeding the air from the brake air tank during flight). The other issue is that the valve seems to operate in both direction when using both up and down up elevator. I think this may be fixed by adjusting the percentages in the transmitter to make the valve work and then changing the percentages back to use the elevator servo. Even if this works there is still not a way to overcome the continued operation in flight as far as I can tell. BTW, you will still have this issue with a matchbox...Gary

There has already been a thread on this issue.
The link you want is
http://www.jet-tronics.de/
and yes - you can turn it off. If you devote a separate channel, you merely have to set the end point lower than the bottom limit of the valve or put the other way you have to set the bottom limit of the valve higher than the bottom limit of the channel.

Yes, you can turn it off on a sepatate channel but I don't think that was really the question he was asking. I have all three of my jets setup that way on my DX-7 using the gear switch but it can't be done using a Y-cable to save a channel, nor can it be done using a matchbox. At least I don't see how to make it work. I just thought he should realize this before he spent money on a matchbox...Gary

Thanks for the offer but I followed the link above to the manual.
I have decided to use a Smart Fly Power Expander EQ10 with my DX7, this will avoid needing any Y-leads + x number of matchboxes and will allow me to use the seven channels, and provide a nice source of power to the RX (important for Spektrum RXs apparently) and allow me to still decide on battery/regulator setup.

Here is the link. http://electrodynam.com/rc/index.shtml
It does look like a nice unit that would work well with the DX-7...Gary
