Well I will be the first to put in a plug, before the war starts
We have had great success with our 51cc engines They come with a two year warranty and a one year crash warranty, Weight is 4 lbs all up less battery, Machined lower case, NKG bearings, 4 paddle reed valves, Rce.xl ignition.
Thrust test show 29+ lbs thrust after 1 tank of gas

Whoa!! wholly Smokes... now that's a list. I had a Brillelli 46GT but not enough vertical. ran a 22x8 TBM, 22x8 Vess, then a 20x10 Xoar @ 6650rpms but still not enough, just need to break that 7,000rpm barrier.
Thanks for the add'l options,
Frank

You may want to stiffen up the firewall some too. My MT62 has a small footprint on the firewall and when I would go full throttle I could see the motor move 1/16' forward, I just thout that was odd untill the other day the aluminum corner brackets broke. This wasn't from engine shake, the MT62 is very smooth running, it was from firewall flex. I replaced the aluminum corner pieces with oak. I also replaced my gear with a set I had that where almost exactly the same, but 1/16 thicker aluminum. I fly from a very bumpy field though.

Anything that fits a Sacks 3.7 or 4.2 will mount up to it, A lot of people use a DA, bolt pattern is 2mm difference, They just modify it to fit

Disregard the thrust readings for the MT57, they are lower than what is shown, I did the test on a very windy day and that really helps the readings. I have nothing to do with selling the engines, LS is a friend of mine and I did the website just for fun. I have to do changes to his website, but my computer had a problem so It'll be a couple more days until I can make changes. The MT50 doesn't have the power you need, the MT57 and MT62 do, LS is bringing in headers and canisters for the engines at a real good price for MT owners, I tested the canister it's nice, very mellow sound.
On my SD 260 I opened the back of the tunnel and now have a flow thru tunnel, it took 15 minutes and a piece of 1/4"x1/2"x7" balsa. Doing that you have very minimal cutting to the cowl, and great cooling.

Just flew my new Area 51cc motor this week in my new Nitro models Zero. It was really great on idle, started easily every time and had good power still breaking in. I used a 23x10 NX prop and the Zero was 21.5 dry. Good motor.

The MT62 sells for $390.00 with a side dump muffler . Comes with ign, standoffs and a mounting plate to give the engine a large footprint.

I had the aluminum corner pieces fail on one side of the engine box, I guess from the firewall flexing, when I gave it the gas the engine move 1/16" forward. I didn't think anything ov it until after I landed the engine was not centered in the cowl anymore, thankfully the MT62 is super smooth any shaking would have broken the other side. I removered the aluminum corners and put a piece of 3/4"x1" Oak on the inside screwed and glued together now.
The more I fly this plane the better I like it, no vices, a great airplane.

It would be pretty easy to do, but you want at least 1/8", so for a 1/4" I wouldn't bother.
The TOC 53 is a nice engine, I was going to buy it rather than my DL50, but I had just bought to Bunny graphics and they forgot to put the transfer film on them, their responce was use tape, so I was a little PO at them. I think the DL has a little power over the, but the 53 has 3 bearings and is very smooth. Tom has a hop-up for the 53 and a canister, did you get them?

Yes, I got the hop-up package for $449.
I am mistaken, it is 1/2" out to far so I need to modify the firewall to achieve the 1/8" This is my first with that type of thing so would you mind walking me thru your recomendation to reset the firewall?
Thanks,
Frank.
