I haven't heard anything but good things about them, and plus the bind and drive option is really great. It's about time more manufacturers offer stuff without radios.

I do not own one, but have been reading up on them on here and mostly RCtech, but it seems quite a few people are having issues already. Primarily with the dog bones twisting even stock. Also the electronics outside of the radio system seem to be pretty bad. Posts regarding servos being bad right from the get go and just being overall cheap, also people junking the esc already.
It looks like a nice truck with a few early quirks.

Guys at the track have a couple. Seen one run for the first time wed night. Very Durable like the slash.
I'm gonna wait til something else comes out though, because hpi and kyosho's might be even better.

Really so the strike is a POS from the start? so its basically another highroller. lets wait a little longer to get some more info from other sources before making any direct conclusions.

I lost my appetite by just looking the high roller chassis. Im more in favored of the Blitz, and Sc10.

They also had a sc10, which I was impressed with. The mudflaps added a nice touch to the realism.

I think alot of people are getting hung up on the whole "based on the Highroller" thing. It's not necessarily a bad thing, considering that it is after all a truck. The Slash is built primarily off the Stampede platform and it does quite well on the track. I think it's cool that it's not a flat-bottomed chassis that is derived from a XXX-T. I had a Slash and loved it. I currently own an SC10, and love it too. The driving experience between the two was much more similar than it was different. The "box stock" performance was nearly identical. The only tangible difference IMO, is that the SC10 drivetrain feels smoother and more refined. I suspect that will be the case with the Strike as well. The Blitz and SC10 "appear" more race inspired if you're looking at chassis design, whereas the Slash and Strike "appear" more truck-like in the chassis design. I'm glad to see the SCT class gaining in popularity, it's a blast to drive these trucks. I think that people get a little ridiculous about calling any product from one of the major manufacturers a piece of junk. They wouldn't be major players in the game if they produced garbage. In the end, it all comes down to preference and most of all driver skill, not brand superiority.

well i have a slash,sc10 and now a strike.
love the slash, handling, durability ect. you just can't kill it i've tried lol.
hate the sc10. handles like crap imo, seems very cheap and brittle.
we'll see tomorrow how the strike fares.
all in stock form too.

The mid-motor design helps with weight balance, especially on-power where in a rear motor design the weight of the motor levers against the rear axle and makes the front light. There is also a gyroscopic effect in play there too which exaggerates the front end lift. In a mid motor this plants the rear rather than lifting the front, assuming the same direction of rotation (counter to wheels).
The servo has a known issue of failure to initialize if it gets moved (rotated) while the power is off. So basically if your wheels get turned while the vehicle is turned off the servo won't work when you turn it back on. 99.9% of the time unplugging it and plugging it back in gets it working again.
As far as the ESC It seems like it's OK. No horror stories so far. But like most RTR ESCs it's not "good for racing". Then there's personal preference. Some of them might be getting scraped because they're the wrong color. (ie. not Orange)

I just drove one on my track. My neighbor got his the other day and we broke it in this morning. It weighs almost a full pound more than my sc10 and it is longer. It handles very well and makes decent power with the stock motor. Rear traction was an issue but the track was dry. I'm sure some bowties or goosebumps will take care of that. It jumps really well too. The body itself is had a very cool design, but the graphics are kinda fugly. It seems pretty durable so far, as we crashed it quite a few times. However, it was running by itself with no one bouncing off it. Tomorrow will be the true test, as it will have a Novak brusless system and bowties on all four corners. It will then have to race against my badass SC10 and a pack of angry Slashes.

My track ran a modified short course class for the first time today and they were running some slashes and two Strikes and I have to say that the strikes were really just smoking the Slashes. I really don't think they would be too far off from the SC10's which regardless of what some other people say will beat out a slash.

this is what it looks like.
no hard wrecks, crash's ect.
needless to say I'm not very happy with it.

My Feedback: (7)
well thats the sad part i never hit anything.
went end over end and cartwheeled a couple times but nothing major.the jumps on our track you get maybe 2ft of air. i wasn't even going full speed (i couldn't because of traction.)
it wasn't even under race conditions. i was testing the truck trying to get it dialed in on handling, traction ect.
i can just imagine what would happen during a race with 4-5 others trucks out there.
it will be for sale as i won't spend a bunch of money on trying to get it durable. besides my slash does just fine lol.
