Default SmartFly optical switch

Hi There,

First I would like to say.. I ordered my switch on Thursday and it was here today ( Sat. which is great!) Thanks for the amazingly fast service.

I have spent the day working on my plane and I can't for the life of me get either light to come on. Will the green on come on once it has power regardless of anything else?

I have double checked everything and I believe it's hooked up correctly. I just tried to plug it into my el. and al. channels and tested on high rates and cant get the green light to come on. My rates are more than 100% so that part should be covered.

Anything else I can check?

Thanks in advance!

Well I took everything apart again and by-passed the switch to see if there was an issue there.

On a last ditch of frustration I decided to try the other servo lead for the receiver. Sure enough now it works. In the instructions it says you can use either lead on the transmitter end for a single receiver setup... do I have a half bad transmitter?

Thanks

Hi,
It sounds like you might have a half bad transmitter. If you want a replacement contact me at [email protected] with your mailing address and phone number. Sorry about the inconvenience.

For what it's worth -

I ordered this on Thursday.. it was here by Sat. I had a problem with the transmitter and posted here.... a response was here on Sunday and I recieved a call on Monday saying the new part was going out and confirming a request for an additional item by 11am my time.

Nothing is perfect... but it was great to see such a quick response and have the issue dealt with in a great maner. I am a big supporter of great customer service and would encourage anyone to deal with Smart-Fly.

I am doing a review for a plane / engine starting next week.. will probably call Smart-Fly again to order another cut off based on this experience.

Thanks!
