Default Does this work?

Hi, boaters!

I would like to get your opinions from your experiences and knowledge, since I am not a really experienced and knowledgeable boater. I guess I am just a little better than beginniers!

Q#1. Does this motor work in the ARPRO 700 EP Brushless boat? Here is the link for the motor. http://www.hobbypartz.com/07e-c-sl-10t-2848-blue.html
Here is the link for the boat. http://www.nitrorcx.com/99b-10016-bl...0-ep-artr.html

Q#2. What is the diameter of the flex calve of this ARPRO boat? 3.17 mm or thicker?

Q#3. Which boat is better one? ARPRO 700 EP that I mentioned above or Sword 630 Mono 1 competetion? Here is the limk. http://www.nitrorcx.com/99b-10018-630-ep-artr.html

If anyone can give me an asnwer, it will be greatly appreciated[8D]! Thank you very much for your attention!

I would go with the second boat listed
and for the motor, keep it stock, the one you listed is way to much kv
that little boat on 3s will run great with the stock motor

Hi, there!

Thank you very much for your answers! Well, I don't run the boat at Stanley Park. Even though it is a very beautiful park, it is not a good place to run boats. I run the boats at a slough of Fraser river near my place.

SRT 10 recommends the EXCEED Sword boat. Could I ask why? If this is too shallow V hull, is there a better choice with a similar setup? Thank you again!

The seord boat is a better hull and will handle better....
Not sure why your looking for a different power source??
The one that's in it is plent and will run great on 3s for its size

Going with a much higher kv motor like the one you listed is to much rpm for any of those boats listed
You will see smoke....

Hi, again!

Thank you for your response!

The reason why I am asking about using the 2848 BL motor (3900 kv) in the Exceed Sword 630 boat is that I have that brand new motor now, sitting on my shelf. So I was wondering if I buy a kit of that Exceed Sword 630 boat, putting the 3900 kv BL motor in it with 60 A ESC.

What if going with 2 S lipo for this motor in the Exceed Sword 630 boat? Too slow? (If this doesn't work well, certainly I would buy a ARTR version.) Your answer will be greatly appreciated! Thank you again!

Ok I see what your after now..
so your motor on 2s would be about 28,860rpm and that's a real decent rpm to have for an FE boat
but keep in mind when you lower your volts with higher kv motors you put much more strain on the motor and esc than if you run lower kv motors and higher volts
that motor may work well on 2s but then again you may have heat issues with it???
and to run them back to back, 2s/3900kv vs 3s/2636kv, the 3s setup will not only run faster but pull less amps and have longer rutimes with the same size packs
you can also prop up more with the 3s setup to get even more speed out of it vs the 2s setup
2s will have more wear and tear on the motor and esc (more amps being pulled) vs the 3s setup[:-]

Well, thank you very much again for your kind advices, SRT 10! Then, I will go with a ARTR version with 3-cell li-po.

Mikeup's posting doesn't show anytning. I am wondering what happened.

stoop??? interesting [:-]
lots of us are looking out for the interests of fellow boaters on these forums and try our best to direct them into the right direction for years of fun...

guys will have issues with motors and speed control and get frustrated and quit the hobby because of bad info []

Hi!

Sorry for asking one more question! How is this boat to compare with the Exceed Sword 630 boat? Here is the link. http://www.nitrorcx.com/99b-10021-650-ep-artr.html

Is the hull design of this Shark 650 better Sword 630? Does it handle more chops? Thank you very much for your attention!

Hi, i tried my exceed sword out a few days ago...it is the RTR they sell with the 50 amp esc...I was impressed with the power and the fact it is completely water tight.. But first I had to remove all the hardward and seal with silicone since it took on a lot of water in bath tube... I used a 4000 mah gens ace 25c battery put it all the way forword for my first run...I also was using cheap plastic stock prop..What happen next really surpised me... It makes high speed sharp turns very easy, but some how i nosed under the water and boat disappeared...30 seconds later it popped back to surface 20 feet away from where it disappeared..I swam out and retrieved it and it was completely bone dry inside ... But wear the flex drive inserts into drive shaft (which is a straight tube supported by ball bearings front and rear)it came appart... went home fixed, just not sure it will hold... Can anyone recommend a good metal or carbon prop for this model.???..and does anyone know where to buy spare drive shafts...I also have a supervee and the drive is all flex drive with bushings and never had any problems... But,i like the ball bearings front and rear on the 630ep, zero fiction...So i am hoping my drive was just a crappy one and i can keep existing drive setup for a while..Any help is appreciated..thanks

Hi , iv'e got the arpro p1 and hink it's a good boat for the money and with suitable mods goes very well !. Just puzzled as to how you say it runs a flex shaft as mine has solid 4mm shaft and would recommend anyone to swop that shaft to stainless steel as original is a soft metal and starts to round off easilly at motor end . The setup I've got is standard motor on 3s lipo running octura x443 or x642 props . X642 gives the best drive with no heat issues that I've come across. The leopard 28 series fit straight in with no problems but do remember that high kv motors do pull a lot of amps with large props .yup destroyed my esc the hard way though not finding that the cooling hose had slipped off the rudder might have had a part in it too . Leopard 2845/4420kv worked well on 2s but too fast on 3s for the pond I use !upgrade esc if thinking of upgradeing motor !

My sword has basically the same soft metal driveshaft as your boat, but has a flex saft 3.18mm which is connected to the motor end which fits in the coupler... I can't find replacement driveshafts any wear for this boat...On mine the front and rear 4mm sizeends has a nice sealed bearing...I installed a plastic tube over theflex portionbetween coupler and bearing to keep front bearing from popping out...The arpro is samesize as my supervee, and it seems to be about to handle around 40- 50 mph without blowing over, also like the fact that it uses1 3cell like my sword,so it seems to be the next boat i will buy once i get this sword setup to run perfect...

maybe cornwall models has something you need not exactly sure what it is but they have a solid shaft with a flex end on it if thats what you mean.
