Hello forum.

I'm designing a very inexpensive RC boat motor for use in a wide range of different floating items. I'm not looking for speed demon, but an slow cruzer. I've figured out just about everything except for how to mount the prop shaft to the motor shaft. I'm using a 9V hobby motor from radio shack, which has a 2.3mm output shaft. Because I know nothing about electric RC boats, I'm confused as to what I can use to attach my prop to the motor shaft. I understand the design requirements, but not which parts can go with others.

Currently I know that I'll need the following:
Propeller - nothing big, maybe 33/34mm

After browsing this forum for hours, I found a pic for the linkage I'm thinking about. Anyone know the name of this type of connector or where to buy it?

All the underlined stuff you typed can be bought at offshore. This vendor is altra fast shipper and one of the best to deal with, name is Steve V.

The only problem with the solid coupler you show is that it requires perfect alignment with the motor and drive shaft. Couplers with some "wiggle room" may work better as misalignment will eat up run time and cause excess heat. As stated above, look at OSE and see what they have for you.
