I wouldn't make all of those control surfaces active. You would be adding weight that won't really benefit the boat or its performance. Stick with the canard and call it good.
Just checked the Master Hull Roster and found it only ran in testing in 1990, as far as I can tell anyway. The Circus team went back to the tried and true 8400 and 8700 hulls as they performed better. It wasn't run in competition until 1994 as the U-50 Miss Tri-Cities and Pit Stop. When it raced, the center and rear wing flaps had been removed as shown here

Who cares im not building the boat after it was sold off to some other team. Which the boat you show with no flap a totally different center section and a driver wouldn't have the reactionary control of a computer so please dont waste your time debating theory because you know it's my model like every other one Ive built over the last 30 years and I intend to have fun with it. Enjoy your boats .That one's pretty horrendous! Ill never build it without flaps nor with that ugly guise or center section. Moving right along with the project as intended. Please do ngt hijack my thread before it even gets started with unsolicited advice or photos of other boats that will not be built here. I don't need any of that. What I need is the therapeutic pleasure of building my boats and enjoying my purchases my way.. This thread is about me sharing what I'm doing with my boats in 2022 and not anyone else. If you have variants you like to try it is a open build forum. I know you have not done any of it or examined any of this newer equipment so sit back and relax. This isn't a hydro junkie production. How would you know how much my boat will weigh when I haven't even stated definitively the build materials.. I'm an engineer..Let me design it.

Hubert

Just giving some historical context for you to take or leave. Obviously, you have chosen to leave it, which is fine by me. Good luck on keeping the weight down.
With that, I'm out

Yeah the wing servos will weigh a ton. Im truly concerned about that because im reminded constantly by the blowovers at speed that the boats are too heavy.
And well you didnt add historical context anyone asked for you dropped a photo of a ugly boat in my thread and advice thats as bad as it was unwanted. Do have any idea how insignificant the weight is your talking about of 2 more servos with an inverter that has a 20 ampere BEC? and a scale that runs on 8 s lipo not 10 and has no receiver battery pack and its the size of a nickel?
Please just Let me design the boat.

Hubert
If thats a worry which its not. The APD inverter is also the most power dense inverter on the market so there is not one lighter that can deliver more power anywhere on the planet.
The 1,200.00 dollar 20S LiPo 600 burst current inverter is 260 grams!

2 of these are 20.16 grams that equals 0.04444519 pounds
Do you see that 20 wouldn't weigh a half pound?
Enjoy the build....
Thanks...

You can also clearly see the center section on this hull as is from this boat has no rearward turbine exhaust stack.. So it appears this ugly thing is actually a frakenhull of both. I also already own the defacto U-31.

If you want to discuss theory go ahead. The main area of lift is in different spots on the boats between the 3 wing and 2 wing boat. That's clear.

Jones Sr is still right because of all the blowovers you do not see one of this style or the budweiser in the real boats. At least I haven't seen one.. I have seen the model version of the Bud in MHZ blow over nonetheless. That front wing on the two wing boat is an asymmetrical aerofoil that is going to generate ALOT of lift ahead of the Cg at speed . A fast electiic model would do better to have symmetrical speed airfoils Mh series like speed planes would work . At zero degree angle of attack they do not do alot . There are two ways to make them active.. You can have the common flap at the trailing edge or the entire foil can tilt in either direction. To expand further upon that there are record setting boats the actually use inverted assymetrics that actually create down force. A ground effect . Here some photos christian threw me of Fabio Buzzi petrol boat. They are good friends. He visits him often in Italy....

You know these from INTLwaters. Christian Lucas's outdrives. I will send him a gift of scorpion 4025 powerheads that will be capable of 12kW! What will he do with it I have no idea but the power will definitely be there. Im actually looking for the best lower units to convert. I'd like to build one with a custom hand wound electric motor head for myself for a kneeler.

26kW would be more potential than he could use on a typical tunnel.
The hull could in no way stay on the water with the heads i could provide for it.
This could power a massive tunnel
