New guy - New boat, probably built it wrong.

Hey all,
I've recently designed and 3d printed a jet boat modeled slightly after the Outerlimits SV43. all of the CAD was done by me, and I used some ideas for the jet pump from pictures on the forums and google. Here's what I came up with: 500mm (roughly) hull, with a 40mm OD, 15mm pitch 4 blade impeller, 22mm jet output with 8 vane stator. The motor is a 2958 3320 KV, the ESC is a 90A, and I'm running 3S (6000mAh).
The problems: I THINK the KV of the motor I got is too high, as I ran it WOT for about a minute and the wires that run to the motor got so hot they started melting parts of the hull. It also sits pretty low in the water.
I think for this size boat I should reduce the jet size, reduce the KV, and/or increase the ESC amp rating. It was stupid fast while it lasted at least.
(It won't let me post pictures)

I have a diagram of an inline jet that is much more efficient than a traditional jet drive. It is almost like a kort nozzle at the back of the boat. I'll find the diagrams and post them here.

Pm me a link to the photo or my personal email and I'll post it for you. I'll help u with the boat since it seems no one is going to respond in the help forum. Sounds like a very interesting project to me.

The new real boats now have bow thrusters. So they have a kort nozzle turned sideways in the bow of the boat in the front. I hate I did not take a photo when I was boat shopping. It always the boat to be anchorages and stay on location with gps
