If you just have to get the best motor, take the one from offshore electrics,,, But, there isn't much difference between that and the 8.4 bb motor, you'll hafta decide if it's worth the extra money. I would start with a basic 42mm prop, such as an X442, later for speed maybe an X445, or X645 but make sure to check your motor heat along the way. I assume your using a cooling coil.

that transom looks pretty heavy. you could run 14 cells and everyone seems habbly with the ball bearing one, i only have the turbo. my turbo will turn a prather 235 and i dont know why but you would be better off with something smaller like an x440 or 442. you could also look at the 642 for the increased pitch.

my son just got a 700SC from offshore and he says it looks/is the same as a SS1 but without the sticker. I run a SS1 with R/C-Hydro ESC and 12 cells in mine it been GPSed at 34+ with a X642 prop. handles great . he took 3rd at the Batavia race in "P" spec offshore with it and flipped in the second heat, awesome boat to watch run

Just a note, Offshore is switching their high performance packages to the 700SC instead of the 700bb according to Steve. It provides a touch more performance and efficiency.
