Matty,
From other posts I've read, those boats are around 10" long, a speed 600 would run a boat 3 times that size.
Also, a brushless controller will not work with a 600 motor as that motor is not brushless.
The 600 motor will draw more than 12 amps so you also need to watch that.
A few others are building that style boat here and looking into motors around the 280-400 range I think.
You could use brushless, they last longer, are more powerful, but are much more expensive.
I'm not sure you'll get too many suggestions without more specs on the hull size and what you are trying to accomplish.
Check out http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_3706287/tm.htm and www.microhydros.com also.

OK thanks seabiscuit, well i want it to go about 30kmh and it 13'' long and i have one other look under my boat and you will see it that boat has a 380 stock motor that came with my nikko jeep that i pulled apart to make my first boat and i tried it out to day and it went about 10kmh if you could tell me what i should buy and keep the price under $200 AU that would be great . these are pics of my retrieval boat(the white one) and my first build (the black one).

Ive never built a tunnel hull and know that those have peculiarities in the setup.
Check out the forums and look for others who run tunnels then adapt it to your size.
Electric boat motors generate more torque than car motors in general.
So it's possible the 380 nikko motor may not produce what a 400 Graupner would.
From these and the other pics I can only give you a few considerations:
1. You may be suffering drag from the hull bottom and hardware
2. Most other hydros I've seen have their hardware alot closer to the transom
3. Verify what the center of gravity should be for a tunnel hull of that size
4. Check your weight, the setup could be too heavy for the motor
Suggestions on a setup I would not feel comfortable giving since I've never had a tunnel hull but take a look at this thread [link]http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_3704981/anchors_3728392/mpage_1/key_/anchor/tm.htm#3728392[/link]

ive thought about doing one of these boats for a few years now, as a micro, i think they might make an ok 4 cell boat with a hot 05 car motor or a small brushless
