okkey, now i have ordered it from offshore, thanks

What do u guys think that would this OSE Water Jacket for Feigao 540 Sized Motors works "enough" with the stock water pickup?
Just replace the original silicon and that´s it?

I use the stock water pickup with my Neu 1515 1y setup and it works OK. Water flows very nicely from water outlet on side of boat. Simply do a quick drive by to check for water flow.

Is there something i should know when i start to replace the stock water jacket with this OSE Water Jacket?
Does it come off and go on easily? Do i need to use glue etc...

I use rubbing alcohal to make the rubber O Rings slide over case easier, rubbing alcohal also evaporates. The instructions that come with your water jacket say to use WD-40.

No, the german manufacturers have good stuff too and are a lot closer (I'm not saying cheaper, as I'm not familiar with the shipping costs to Finland)

If you're not all thumbs; on the Tips & Info section on OSE is a series of articles on watercooling, including the full can version in brass sheet, you can adapt it to your needs.
If you can't find it, PM me your mailadress and I'll send you the pics and a 'how to' manual.

Regards, Jan.

Well.... Now the OSE water Jacket is on and after the first run i see water coming from the outlet normally. I run about 8 minutes 70% WOT and still the motor is way too hot (i can hold my hand on it for 6-7 sec)[]
Batterys are 4500mAh 7 cell packs. It runs pretty fast with these batterys and after the run bat temps are too much too(i can hold my hand on it for 3-4 sec). Prop is CF45.
It seems like it didn´t help alot?

Way too hot means nothing to me. What temp are you getting on the motor? Is your rudder drilled out to allow greater flow rate or are you using a transom water pickup?

Rudder is not modified. Motor temp is about 125F(i don´t have a thermometer so it´s what i think the temps is) almoust the same as when i used the stock jacket.
Should i rune the rudder by drilling the hole bigger?
I will test it again this evening and see are we getting the same hot motor....
there was much grass on the water so i need to clean it all the time! This is probably the reason for hot motor...

125F is fine and should not be considered running too hot. The stock water jacket is prone to leaking, this was solved by you replacing it with the OSE version.

You don't need to make the rudder pick up larger as your motor is running fine. If your packs are over heating, you are running the boat for too long.

Yep
But there is still lots of juice left on the batterys?
Is it possible if i buy race cells that these would not get so hot?

PS: The motor temp can be a bit more then 125...maybe 140 who knows because my hand is not a thermometer

Every NiMh cell becomes hot after a certain amount of discharge. NiMh cells have a C rating of usually around 6-10C. That is about a 38A maximum continuos discharge rate.

P.S. Buy a temp gun

Second test and i only run 6min without any stops(no grass). Now i can´t hold my hand longer then 3 sec. on the motor It´s so damn HOT[:@]
This boat has NEVER run so fast then it did 15 min ago!!! well i think it did go over 40mph?
Batterys were ok hot but not too hot....

Batteries are forward to 8" balance point(boat is rock solid to drive) trim tabs are on the same level as the bottom...so is it possible that some of these would effect to this getting too hot thing?
Next i will scuff the bottom(last 13" from transom) with 360 paper[8D]

My motor temps using the stock SV27 system, Lipo's, and Grimracer 42x55prop were around 174 degrees. I could have lowered temps a little more by running boat more loose and less wet.

Wow

I can say that my temps are smaller..

Wow 174F is hot, I would say far too hot. My SV motor on the back of a Tunnel Hull only get's to about 135F. Prop is an X642 which is 42 x 67.2 running 25C 5Ah LiPo.

I was using two 8000mah lipo packs for LONGER RUNTIME.

My air cooled Traxxas VXL Rustler gets much hotter...+200 degrees.

My air cooled plane motors don't get over 120F. At over 160F, magnet life span drops significantly. This in turn drops motor efficiency and actually makes your motor run hotter with less performance.

Is my SV defective?

It's a simple fix, I can simply raise trim tabs if I wanted to.

My trim tabs are bent about 2 degrees downward. Outside air temps here in Georgia, USA have been very hot (mid 90's) WHICH WILL LEAD YOU TO HIGHER MOTOR TEMPS.

both my stock SV and my modded SV rarely get over 100 degrees on any component. 120-130 if I run for a very long time...Motor magnets lose their strength over 170. Car motors are generally tuned to run over 150, but they aren't water-cooled.
I'd suggest trying to run cooler if you wanna save your parts, as I've also learned that an overheated motor can eventually cause damage to the ESC as well. What temps are you getting on the neu?

Hmmmm....It´s not the magnets, it´s the glue what they use to attach them to motor, i think?
Glue doesent hold more then +80 Celsius (180K).

Magnets begin to demagnatize permanantly from 150F and up depending on quality of the magnet. (called the curie temp point) Too much energy being put into the magnet from heat will permanently disrupt the magnetic structure of the magnet material. All magnets decrease in strength as heat increases but will return to original strength when cooled as long as the curie temp is not reached.

Keeping temps lower will result in more efficient power.

I once had a Traxxas Velineon brushless motor fail in my Emaxx truck. After running numerous hours at temps above 170 the magnet seperrated and split from motor shaft totally destroying windings in motor. I purchased another Velineon motor so I am back running again at 170 plus degrees

My current Neu 1515 1y 2200kv motor on 3s power has never gotten over 147 degrees.

I also have a Neu 1515 1.5d 2700kv motor that a plan to try. It will run more efficiently on 3s power.

I will also try a Traxxas Velineon 3500kv motor (water cooled this time) using 3s power also in my SV27.
