RE: Elete 4500
No .
it has been done . what problem do you see with it ? i don't see any other then the fact it will be slower but have great run times
I see that the boat is made for 14.4 volts, and of course, there is always someone willing to up the ante...
It would be really slow, how do you figure it would get good runtimes???

and when you quote some one use this button at the top of "fast reply" box

Come on. Monkeys eat bananas. With a prop spinning at 19200rpm, it'll be screaaming.

I'm just gonna sit back and watch the fireworks. Hey Offshore, when you're ready yell out FOX 4.
I think you both are talking about 2 different things. One of you is talking about 7cells (14cell config) and one of you is talking about 7 cells (7 cell config). I think. I don't know.
If you're talking about the 14cell config......I hope you've done it with the SV, because all the guess and theory won't help until you apply it physically. I think what WL ran into was that the gain in the packs wasn't worth the gain on the tracks.
Now I'll just sit back.
Offshore.......are you a farmer? You seem to planting something.

RE: Elete 4500
In my 6 cell config.....I get about 9 min. Oh wait......is that 12 cell. Yes, I'm sorry. I could never get 9 min out of 6 cells.
Also. If you only ran 6 cells, would the ESC even operate? If it did, then why can't I arm the system when I plug the first 6 in?
If it did work, it would take ohh about 1 day on the water to complete 4 laps. What would the point be?
Point is. All of us SV owners know you can't run stock on 6 cells. So that would naturally tell me that I have 12 total. It wouldn't be an FE if it ran on 6.

Well, I dont know about everyone else, but I know that im going to stick with 12 cells... (Just my theory). People say 14 cells are not worth it and they "Dont want a given". 12 cells is what the boat is made for so lets just stick with that... Why in the world would you ever want to go to 6 cells... It would be like ssssllllooooowwww mmmmooooottttiiiiioooonnnn.

RE: Elete 4500
But if you change out the "6" with a "7" it still can't be done with the SV. I talk from experience with the SV on the water, "Splittin' them Hydrogen Atoms'.
Also, the whole point is that Grim built the SV for P Mono, not N (you could but you would lose). P is 12-14 right? Maybe he did it just to pick on people also.
We're not even interested in some other boat because Offshore has a SV. I think Offshore stated that in the beginning that the 4500s/4200s would be for a SV.
