Just hold on a sec there "buddy"
Well, I did say clearly that they would be intended for an sv27. Now if you think grim messed up on the whole "Super fast supervee" that is fine. But hes doing fine selling them, even if they are waaayy to fast .

We can just take out the cells all together and use a........a.........wait.........sail. Yeh, a sail.

Wait.........I'm going to go over to the Hammer thread and tell them how they should config their boats.

Us Grimmies are very well behaved until someone tries to slow us down. You should know better. I want to knock off 10mph, I'll just bury the strut, knock the rudder out, take the turn fins off, and put the trims P and S, 5 down. Woooooo. You're really slow. How did you do that. I want one.

Heck! Who needs a sail! We can tie fishing line arround the antenna and throw it out! Then we race back in seeing who can reel the fastest. Well, looks like motor heat is eleminated!

Then you waste power. and there is no point of 12 cells. run 8 and you have longer runtime.

Look at the artical i posted just to back me up.
of you read it says " super vee27 system will run happily on 8 cells. This is great for O mono."

It does say that. You were also right about it being slow! Dude thats 2 for 2!!
Isn't "O" mono made for fast boats? Well, you might be able to catch em'!

Thanks. First of all.....did you check with RC Boat Mag for copyright?

2nd.....thanks for the article.

3rd....it mentioned that you can do it with sacrifice to top end speed. Guess what. We're not interested. That recommendation is for people who either like driving slow, or don't want all the SV has to give because they're new and afraid of the "INSANE SPEED".

This article still doesn't prove anything on your behalf. We;re just not interested.

Please go to the Hammer thread and bug them.

Sorry, but I doubt you have a clue about what you are talking.
your welcome for the artical.
And i hope you go to a O mono or N2 mono race one day to see how easily they can kick your sv27 butt off with 6 cells.
secondly sv27 is not insane speed

You know, it would work if you were driving in a pool. But honestly eyecandy. If people really want to get a slower boat, what in the world are they doing with a sv27? Should a' just got a hammer. 6 cells, nice crusing speed. Thats not what the sv27 is made for...

OK. The BUFF. I own that pick. My wife took it when I flew over to Iraq in it and logged over 200 combat hours in it. Pterodactyl Carrier was her name. She went down after many combat sorties and took 4 very good friends with her to an 8000 ft grave under water. Then I spent another couple hundred in Special Ops on helis. Then I flew satellites along with many Canadian friends. I was also medically retired from the USAF because of that same plane. But you know what. It saved my butt many times. If I had a penny for every terrorist I killed in it, I would be racing one of those $8K turbine rcs.
Because, even though you live in Canada, we still protect each other........NORAD.

So....I guess now you will be buying a B-52 magazine to read up on it and start talking smack you obviously know nothing about.

So. Make dang sure you know who you're talking to fool. You're not even worth it.

Offshore. Let us know how it goes with setups.

Jallen. I think I bypassed the rookie status and went straight to ace.

I think blocking is working.

Im also Sooo sory I spelt your name wrong. I just thought it would be spelled like the accual word... If you want to talk more about how great it is to slow your boat down, great pm us. But, lets not keep wasting time. Becaus honestly if you want to but the brakes on for your boat, more power to ya'. Obviosly tho, not many people here are going to be trying it. Why don't you stop fludding the fourms. Take it to pm.

Oh come on.[&:] Just kidding.

They work really well. I have 4 sets. They take puishment and a lot of abuse. I run them right at the threshold in temp.

I accidentally charged them at 3A and lost track of time. They got up to 150F. Ran them no probs, temps at 128F. Just shelf charged them at 2A and back in the mAh range of 5200mAh. They have about 15 run cycles on them.

Howevr, I would recommend the 4200s for weight and resistance.

i decided on ib4200's. there lighter then eletes and they are really nice batts with lower resistance. there 10 more at cheapbatterypacks.com. but from what i can tell there worth it!

i will let you know! right now im still stoked on my sv27, but my batts should be here in 3-5 days so there is somthin to look foward too! I will let everyone know how it goes. im thinking of ordering some elets to just to conpare.

not too many people have them. the few people that do however, say that there asome packs! what kind of volts are they pushing out? how many volts per cell? my gp 3300's i think are ready for the trash. they arn't making me happy. there not made for speed and i know that, but there very steady and they dont go out until a wile. i get lots of runtime. i asume i have gotton my moneys worth out of them. there 2 years old and have been ran almost every day!

I don't have the electronics for in-boat numbers, but my end charge v is 8.94-8.96, peaking around 9.06v. mAh charge around 5200 at 123F, with run times around 9 min or 2.7mi roughly.

Sounds like the 3300s you have were well maintained. Batt mx (maintenance) is the key along with the right prop.

I usually get the GP's from CBP but last time I got the Basher batteries from them. They work fine but I am looking for more Mah's this time.
