Default RE: What rtr?

oh. alright so this http://206.206.85.209/xtdoc/Details....S1&store=xtdoc, minus motor if possible
with the deal from offshoreelectrics with the 700sc and navy 600 esc
with a 8 cell pack from offshoreelectrics, that would be about another $115.00??

Thanks for the help

although, if you take out the price of the motor, it will cost less....i think you should just stick with the motor that comes with the boat and use the 700 navy...youll want to run it on 8 cells...thats that least amount for the navy

so take out the 35$...you only need to pay 74$ for the esc and about (how much for the batt pack?)

i think you should go to ww.cheapbatterypacks.com and have them make a custom pack with 12 gauge wire and deans plugs (youll need some for the charger and esc....

i think the batterys need to be in a special specification...i know taylor said this about one of the hulls there that have about the same dimensions...

Are you going with the Sigma M1? The recommended batts are RC2400 or GP3300, so you'll need comparable 2400mAh or 3300mAh packs. Elite's are good though, I haven't had any problems with my Elite 4500s.

u need sub-c size cells, not 2/3a. too small. you could also just buy the cells and make the packs yourself if you have a soldering tool and batt bars. I bought some 6-cell 3300 packs from radioshack for 25.00 and made two seven cell packs. if u want a cheap boat then just go with a turbo vee from tower. 80$ and they go about 15mph. my friend bought a krontonics sun esc and a 600 motor and it now goes about 25 on 12 cells. on 7-cells it would go about 20-25 for only only 120 for the entire setup. id use a different setup because his motor would over heat every run. heres what u should use...

[link=http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXKGP2**&P=ML]turbo vee III[/link]

[link=http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXAXT7&P=ML]intellispeed esc[/link]

[link=http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXJ765&P=ML]motor[/link]

It isnt a very good looking boat but u could buy a new hull and it would still be cheaper than the others. And it has great acceleration for wave jumping. here is the video for my friends.

just buy a BBY oval master 26 for 55$ and kit it out, 700 and 12 cells very good handling boats, mine i dont use trim tabs and it handles perfectly because its so well setup, i also added a floodchamber to it, and it works very well, saves having to rescue the boat if it flips, and the aquacraft like to flip! so i found out Yesterday at our club's SAW runs

The 600 on 12 cells out performs the 700 on 12 if u get the stock 700 motor, which sucks. just go with the turbo vee and if u like rc boating then decide where to go from there. thats what i did and i now am workin on a brushless setup. if u do run a 700 then run it on 14-16 cells with it water cooled to get best performance. on 12 cells it sucks, run time is bad unless u buy like 100$ packs and speed is only 20mph. i race my stock turbo vee on 7 cells against my friends aqua jet on 12cells and the turbo vee was only like 1 mph slower if that. if u get the 700sc or 700bb ull be alot better off than the stock 700. Also the turbo vee can turn on a dime, it is amazing compared to most boat driving. if u want a fun sport boat then go with the turbo vee. if u want to spend a ton then buy a 700motor and work with that.

im not sure how you can say on 12 cells a 700 sucks, i did 38.4mph on a 40mm prop and 12 cells yesterday with my classic hydro at our clubs SAW event, A 600 may out perform a 700 on 12 cells(ive never seen it but with that much rpm per volt its possible), but for how long til it melts.
Graupner 700 6316 (700bb turbo 8.4) motor is what i use now because the SS1 is no longer and the SC X is not available here.
but for example my oval master 26 in oval trim does 30mph (timed pass two ways over 100 meter course in the rough) with a tiny x440 3 blade on 12 cell and it runs for about 7-8 mins ...
im using old gp3700's that have had a beating, new cells would make a bit of difference..

even just buy the Oval master an then add the 600, least its a competitive hull that can take a lot of upgrades

i think im going to go with the sigma because if i flip it will just flip back over without having to swim and i think it will be the cheapest too.

Thanks

ohh ya and i dont recommend running 12cells on a 600 a lot just to let u know. it does get extemely hot and doesnt pass the 5sec. test. The 700 was crappy one. cen 700. thats why it went so slow. if u get the sc or graupner then the turbo vee stands no chance.

Hey,
You mentioned you want to run yours in pretty good chop. Just make sure you can answer this very important question.

IS YOUR BOAT BIG ENOUGH?

you will probably have to custom build a boat that can take the kind of chop your wanting to take on...

there arent rtrs that will give the kind of performance and handle conditions like the ones you will be running in...much less an electric
