OK 2 minutes is not so far from my 45 second exagerated guess. Yes more than double but it's not what I'd consider a realistic run time unless you are talking about a shuttle launch, top fuel run or some sort of cool pyrotechnic display. I didn't realize that BT was running lipo (I saw "6 cell" and assuemed 6 cell packs, I have no experience with Lipos. I can't imagine draining 4200mah (nimh) out of a battery in less than 3 minutes w/o it being white hot. I prop up to 45mm and run for 5 minutes and risk poaching my IB's How is this made possible, Dude.

he isn't from what i read. i never said he was running lipo. read what i posted again
2 mins is ususaly the length of the oval. However this is a P offshore, there for in IMPBA it is a offshore course, which doesn't count laps it MUST fiish the 4 min time and who ever gets most lasp in 4 mins wins.
So if he was racing his boat would need to run 4 mins

I read what you posted several times. I still can't see how you could discharge that fast w/o damaging Nimh cells due to temp. Not saying it's not possible but my imagination won't allow it.

BB/Thunder,
Sounds like the solid rocket booster on the '74 impalla to me. Do you ever bring it back to the shore under power after a 58-60 mph run? BT, what's your runtime on 12 cells? 45 sec?

Yes I bring the boat back under power, and with 12 cells the run times are 7-14 mins long.
