Look at some YouTube videos of the different boats and decide whether you want more speed or more turns and burns. The SV27 was my beginner boat and I don't see you having a problem with it.... besides some fixes like leaks and trimming.

2200mah will give OK run time, if I had to guess I would say 5-6 min. Remember, lipos can't be fully discharged so you really looking at around 1800-1900mah.

Here, lets make this simple. LOL, pick up a SV27(Green is the fastest) and 4xGP3300 radioshack packs. That will make you smile at the lake!! Simple, Easy, Safe!

O'yeah I almost forgot, pick up the BEST possible charger you can afford. I have the Hyperion EOS1210i Charger and still want more, if you can hack it get the Hyperion EOS0610iDUO Balance Charger. LOL

This boat is really cool.. And i dont even think it would be expensive to get one like that
- Anyone knows what boat it is?

Edit:
Okay.. So that would be a good idea to do that?
- Cant i not just use the DTX4200 mah's ?
was it for fun that the green was fastest?

Great, you have a good charger! It can do 2 6-7 cell packs of nimh at one time if wired in series.

MaaRcuuS, you ask about boats. Your in a region of the world where the variety of boats is enormous . Boat Troubles in Belgium is one good site for size of boats for people starting out inrc boats. They cane help you out more. The thing is, size of boat and if you want to sport or racing boat, your budget but my advise is start in the 22" mono range with 6 or 7 cells and a 432 props and gain knowledge by reading threads of different sites. Just remember, the bigger the boats, your budget has to match. Batteries should be saddle packs so to get the cg correct till you gain experience enough to go to another type of boat like self-righting where setups are different. Hope i helped.

2 2200mah lipos 4S in parallel is equal to a 4400 4S lipo, you use to to ofset the wieght as jeep said

I believe that we run our SV27 in series, which would give you 2200mah worth of run time @ 14.8v. If we ran them parallel we would only be getting 7.4v @ 4400mah. Please correct me if I'm wrong so I can edit this info!

"They need big ponds and all they do is go fast in circles while smaller boats can do that and many other things a boater enjoys doing. My 2 cts."

--Yes! Circles are what the SV27 does best, other boats like the Traxxas Villian are very fun because they go anyway at a slower pace plus they don't cavitate! Theres something about a 10 foot rooster tail that drives me wild.... and my SV27 unlike Derek Zoolander can turn left, just not very well. lol.
Are you on crack?JK. The lipo is a 2200 4s lipo. If it was parallel you would have 4400 4s lipo. If it was series you would have 8s 2200mah. The sv is set up for series but you can easily make a parallel connector for it.

BTW, the sv is a 27in boatSV27

Series or parallel doesnt effect perfomance. But if you insist on using series, then you must get 4000+mah 2s lipos.

Just lipos over 4000mah because they can handle higher discharges.

Well the two zippy lipos are almost the same as the dtx's so your choice. If you wan tmore speed then go lipo, if your satisfied with 35-39 then keep the dtx's. This is if your getting the sv

Regarding Batts. We were talking about these on a different thread the other day. I'm told you can't hurt them.

http://www.radioshack.com/product/in...entPage=search

These are said to still be made with a GP cell that holds more than 3300 and they are near bullet proof. If you don't go Lipo.
Buyer beware i just went to buy one of these packs and the one i bought is not a gp pack the girl at the store was nice enough to exchange it but the pack matched the sku number online and it was still not a gp so be careful if ur gonna buy this pack

Hey..
I have'nt decided me..
It's because that everyone says some different..
Some says that i just should buy a SuperVee
Other say i should make i my self.
One say i should look at a shop i cant find.
Thats what make me frustrated, I really dont know nothing about boats.. And if someone says to me: "Here, lets make this simple. LOL, pick up a SV27(Green is the fastest) and 4xGP3300 radioshack packs. That will make you smile at the lake!! Simple, Easy, Safe! " Then i think that i should do that...
Sorry, if i sounded like i didnt want help /:

I guess i have to defend myself. I'm retired and done this along time./. My first boat was a Electrafied 22" mono with a 2110 Chameleon motor with a 534 plastic prop. The 2110 had 33,000rpm and could fly around 26 or 27mph made out of 1/32 ply on 6 good cells. Now it taught me alot about boats. Now after that i built at least 25-30 different boats especially during the winter months when temp. hit 25 below zero or so, oh yah. The 22" mono i mentioned was a UFO , found at Aztec models in U.K.. Now it was .060 abs and weighed 10 oz.. with a machine wound 38,500rpm with a 632 Octura prop on 6 cells and did 26 or 27mph and cost me $50.00 and was easy to work on with the wide open top. I'm not a salesman just a avid rc boater and not well liked on this site but am honest and pass no bs. Now a better picture is on finedesignrc with more pictures. This will be my last visit on this thread!

Well, thank you for helping
How could u make a boat that could run 27 mph, for only 50 bucks? [8D] - U probably dont answar..
So just forget. but thanks anyway.

I have been looking at some of the hulls from MHZ, they're cheap, cool, and look like they are good..
If i buy a MHZ hull, do i then just need Motor, Esc, Radio, batteries and a servo?
would that be a good idea?

$50.00 is cost of boat, i guess you didn't go to Aztec or finedesignrc or you wouldn't have made that statement about boat, motor and etc and 27mph costing $50.00. That's the trouble nowadays, want it given on a silver platter without thinking or even looking or trying on your own without help. You could read other postings on boating itself, learning curve of boating!

I believe you should look into European sites as your from that part of the world where they're MANY boats and they can answer your questions. We can't answer when you yourself haven't the foggest idea of what you want. The trouble is if you don't like the boat, you jump on us, sorry, were here to help but everything is way to vague and us other posters don't take to be jumping on, impolite.

http://www.google.dk/search?hl=da&q=boat+troubles&meta=
http://www.google.dk/search?hl=da&q=aztec+rc&meta=
Oh, i have looked at finedesignrc. But its still a little hard to find a boat, when i dont know anything about boats.. /:
But as i said before, i'm glad that you guys will help me.. I just get frustrated when everybody have a different opinion.
But if u have to be so arrogant, then i dont want your help.. Because i dont want help, if people dont want to help..
