I put polyurethane on the bottom(decided to go with 2 coats). And i am gonna put 2 more on the inside tomarrow. Then let it all dry, epoxy everything in and maybe get in a run before spring break(dont have batts tho).

at this point maybe you should just order 2x 2s lipos so that you'll recieve them before spring break aye? or even from your lhs. I'm sick of buying stuff for temporary fixes - i've ended up with a basement full of junk
you'll use them for other stuff too no doubt.
Just make sure they can supply enough current for a b/l application if you want to upgrade. re motor have you considered using outrunners? apparently you can get around 150 w from a 39 gram 2200kv flyware running on 10nimh (or so i read in this german magazine) - does that sound right? cos if it is - i think that's the way to go for micro/mini stuff. As regards cooling on the outrunners, etti are now selling motormounts with cooling on the fixing plate. In any case it's your call, just get the thing in the water and shoot a vid....i'm watching![:-]

If your going to run an outrunner in yours, i would recomend 2500kv+. IMO. I would love to buy the lipo now but i would like to get some online and they wont come in till spring break. I may however run 4 AA's. Maybe 6, itll weigh more and go slower but at least youll get to see it.

actually i'll be using 2x 3100kv that weigh a bit more in a tunnel hull, but i'll leave that to the other forum on the ice-berg....too many projects AAAAAAAARGHHHH so many boats, so little time
The AAs will work well enough neways, or try the 2 x 9v blocks in parallel we mentioned last time
