Brushless MRP Miss. Budweiser
I start off with what iam running with:
Mamba 7700kv
Venom 3000 battery
and the rest is stock
But I got a problem when ever I hit the gas it goes know where other than a fast pace of .5mph lol.
So my question is could it be a prop problem or even a blance issue or both

WOAH. both of you need to take a step back!!
7700 KV on a venom motor is a BAD setup even in a car !!! especially in a boat!.
if you run it i will tell you 100% you will see smoke if you ran it for long
the motor is WAY to many KV. if you are running 12 cells. you should have 1500 KV motor!
BAD idea. mamba's are also very low wattage and are powerless.
now 5s on a 7700 KV mamba in a boat is ludacris!. i would pay to see that setup. big money!
if the rest is stock. are you running a mechanical speed controller? and a AM radio.
oh geeze i hope Patrick doesn't catch wind of this

OK I should have said a little more about the stock parts. ONLY thing stock is the gear train and the rudder. On the Mamba it was the combo esc and the motor. The battery is only a 6cell nimh. And an FM radio

Man, this set up sounds like a SAW boat almost by the looks of the RPM[sm=eek.gif]
I must agree with taylor. 7700kv is too high for a boat.
With only 6 cells that's still a really high RPM.
The other mamba combos have a pretty high RPM too.
Maybe, just MAYBE, if you gear down one of the set ups it might work.
Which budweiser is this? Is this the Proboat 1/12 scale? If it is you can use the SV27 system. It's not the strongest set up but it'll have the strength to move a boat under 30 inches. It's also around the same price of the mamba combos. Offshore electrics has a discount on the SV27 system.

Does it look like this one ?
I had a brushed set up in it with a 700 SS 1 motor and a flex shaft instead of the original solid shaft but I do not think it ever got to the 30 mph mark except when it was in the car on the way to the pond

Hi
My old MRP Hydro does 35-39mph with a 700sc and 12 cells. Best prop so far has been a M445 Octura. It still uses a straight 1/8" prop shaft and is adapted up to 3/16" for the 3/16" props .
I have to admit that the SV27 power setup would be great in this boat if you have to start from nothing. 40+ mph should be easy with that setup. I don't think that the old plastic hull can take the pounding with any more that that. n.h.schmidt

If you're referring to the one in the combo w/the 7700kv motor, yes. But it would but not very fast. The SV27 motor runs on 12-14 cells usually when in the SV27. The mamba esc runs on 6-8 cells.(not enough power)
Maybe a motor approximately the same size(like a feigao 540 S size) with a little higher kv might work.

No the mamba ESC will not work with a 14v motor. Better off with a 7-9L on 6-8NiMh. At only 24.5" this hull is even small for a 2 cell setup.
eboat gave me his old MRP Bud.[sm=thumbup.gif]
I'm planning for mid-high 40's on an E1(7.4v) setup. The boat seems very strong and definitely can handle the power. To do this I am planning to cut away at the old hull. The tunnel height is far outdated being way too deep. The cowling area doesn't leave a good taping area. This will have to be cut and a new cowl glassed.
