No, with the stock esc the issue is amps and voltage. Capacity has nothing to do with it, unless it wasnt water-cooled. You may get more power, but the esc was meant for 12cells on the stock motors, so 12 cells of anything will work.

RE: can i use ener G 4600 battery packs in a traxxas villain ex
I put a cooling system and aftermarket props on my EX.
Can I run two MaxAmps 6000HV 2S packs with the stock motors?
I bought one for my Rustler and I want to buy another for my Villian.
Also, I think that I bought the wrong RTR boat for my lake.
It's almost always as smooth as glass and I want the fastest boat on the lake.
The rules are electric only.
Is the brushless Supervee better than the Villian EX?
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

yes but you will need low voltage cut offs, esc doesn't have any.
I would get a Cat over a Vee then or a hydro/rigger if you like those.
Supervee is faster.

What Cat or hydro/rigger would you suggest?
I would a RTR boat but I'll build a kit if I have to.

You'd have to assemble a kit if you want a rigger or hydro.
What speed if considered fast to you?

I have a Rustler and bought the 3 cell Lipo kit from MaxAmps and I've only had it up to about 50MPH and that is FAST for such a little car. It won't handle at those speeds.
My Villian EX just isn't fast enough, although I haven't tried it with Lipos.
I want something fast enough so I can use my canoe to retrieve the boat when I screw up.
Do the kits come complete or do I have to the motor and esc seperately?
I'm only on my second season of RC boating and don't know enough to design one.
What do YOU think is the fastest RTR electric boat on the market?
I am willing and able to do some Mods.
Thanks for your help.
