Default Charging 2 Lipo packs @ once

Ok, this could be a simple question, but I want to be sure before I got and burn the house down.

I have a Triton 2 charger (which can charge up to 5S). I am planning to get a pair of 2S lipo packs. Of course I will also need a balancer to charge the packs.

Here's are the questions:

Can I charge two separate 2S lipo packs at the same time through the single charger AND through a single balancer?
Could a "Y" adapter be made that would connect two 2S balancer taps into a single 4S tap to feed into the balancer?

I haven't read anything about this being done, but it sure would be nice if it were possible.

Does this actually work? or is it not advised? What would it look like for 2s - 4s align?

I found this site very helpful concering charging two batteries. I would make an adaptor by simply removing metal claps from plastic taps and swapping them. Soldering will cause too much resistance to balance correctly.

Please scroll down and key in yor setups:

i thought that you dont need to balance both packs at the same time, i thought that you balance one each cycle

you dont NEED to do anything, you dont NEED to balance packs at ALL! but you SHOULD.

All I'm talking about is treating 2 packs (made up of 2 cells each) like one pack with 4 cells in it. Taylor's diagram looks like exactly that...plain, simple, and pretty darn clever.

Also, I imagine you don't need to balance your lipo's...you really should though, if you want to get the most out of them.

after just looking at taylor's diagram and the ones that detox linked they are different, im not sure if it matters but the one on the site shows the red wire being cut off and not used and taylor's shows it being joined to the black next to it[]

think about this. the red wire out of the pack that goes no where connects to the black lead of of the other pack . so it doesn't matter it is connected anyway.

I wound up trying both ways and Taylor's diagram worked...the other one (with the red wire cut) did NOT.

This was while using a Triton 2 and Astroflight Blinky.

When the red wire was cut, the charger said "no battery connected" apparently that lead needs to be connected to complete the circuit.

As soon as I connected the red wire from the second pack to the "most negative" wire of the first pack, it worked perfectly.

Here are 2 pictures of the setups in action on both PolyRC and Zippy lipo packs:
