RE: Electric Miss Vegas Video Update!
Yeah!, not to your surprise though, the motor is doing fine (around 145) but the battery is the one that gets a little too hot (140). I need to go down on voltage and increase MAH! I can only run her for 2 1/2 mins! [>:]
I figure I go 4s and try to get the Mah at least to 5000! That wont let the batteries get so hot and will give me better running time! The boat is too fast and dangerous at 6s! The video you saw was only at about 70% throttle! It is almost UNCONTROLLABLE @ Wot!

Yeah I can imagine a 30" hull on 22 volts is going to be pretty wicked. I am running a 30" Whiplash Hydro on 4s2p 6400mah with a Neu 1515 1Y and it goes very nicely. When I had my Hacker 7XL in the hull on 4s it ran very nice too. On 4s my cells have never been over 125*

Yeah.... Neu's the way to go! I was just too eager/ambitious to make the boat to the water so I cheapened my motor choice! I def need to change it! This little cheap motor (while good) takes TOO much Amperage and wastes it! A Neu is over 15% more effective, and IMO it delivers more torque!
I Had this lipo around because of my 600 Trex so I decided to give it a try!
The boat handles like a dream though! Much better than before! [8D]

Were you able to modify the boat enough to keep it dry inside? I was looking at one of these hulls a while back and thought about a conversion. It looked like the biggest problem would be sealing it with the way the hatch attaches in the front.

Thanks, I try my best. I am going to be building a 43" Hydro with the Neu "Bam" motor on 12s, now that should be a fun project. I just have to sell a kidney first and I will be all set

Actually.... The Mv holds the water out better than the SV27 so far! I used a really skinny double sided insulation (self adhesive) on the hull side and cut it to fit the groove! Of course If I flip I have bigger problems but then again if that happens I have the electronics sealed in a radio box and thats pretty water tight! The Battery charging leads on the lipo are covered and I put dialectric grease on the discharge leads! So far so good! I also put a sponge in the front where the battery is so in case water gets in, It does not splash around!
