I use one, it's great. The stock ESC handled it fine, as long as you don't put too large of a prop on it. (Use the stock prop, or the Grimracer 40/52 3 blade prop).

I use that one on the Ammo 2300 motor all with the stock ESC (on 6 cell packs only) and it works fine.

How about a water jacket that fits it?

It should since it fits the stock SV27 motor and they are the same diameter but want to be sure.

doby with the 9 xl and stock speedo what prop do you use and was there a small or big speed increase. I saw on ose when you did that but forgot ot ask then.

I mostly use the stock prop and there is quite a bit of speed increase
I did try an Octura X445 and X447, with the X447 it was almost uncontrollable in anything other than flat water.
