I'm thiking of using Carbon cloth to cover the inside of hull.
What do you think about it?

Not needed unless you want it for aesthetics sake.

Anyways, that doesn't look like enough epoxy to wet out that CF...

Mine is too. I just have to seal the hull and glue the sponsons on.

I just ordered a KD 36-60 7L 3500Kv motor from hobby city today, and I'm wondering about what prop I should use...

Any idea's?

I'm trying to stick with plastic. I'm running out of money.

Cool!

Cuz I just ordered a graupner K 40mm with plans on chopping it. I just didn't know how far...

BTW, how fast is OSE's shipping?

They are just north of me in MA.

(i'm hoping to have the boat ready by this weekend when I go to the beach.)

OSE is one week for me.

Going from 40mm to 30mm is a long way. If you do this you will not keep the same pitch ratio. The ratio will be much greater and you will turn the prop in to a lifter style. Cutting it properly will prevent this.

A lifter prop wouldn't hurt.

Lifter props are high pitched. A high pitched prop running that extremely inefficient motor may cause you problems.

Also, are you sure 30mm isn't too small?

It seems awfully tiny for a 540 L.

Ah, sorry I was thinking 7s 5000kv on 2s. With only 3500kv, you can leave it at 40mm if you use only 7.4v LiPo. It's awfully low kv for a rigger on 2s.

I know it is. I was thinking I could make up for it by using a higher pitched prop from the start. That way I would have less rpm's and draw less amps. (hopefully) Theoretically, it would be more efficient.

I have...

It went about 25mph.

I have since then replace the 5 cell reciever pack with a BEC, and I am adding 2 more cells for a total of 8.

(my motor is 3500Kv.)

Any recommendations on how much I should take off of my prop?

You should be able to run it as is. You will most likely be limited in runtime due to the old cells and their discharge rate. How hot did things get with the 6 cells?

On 6 cells, everything barely got warm at all.

And the boat wasn't going fast enough to kick up a rooster tail to get into my water pickup. I couldn't see anything coming out.

I was thinking that since i would be stepping up to 8 cells and adding almost 30% more rpm, (but keeping the same weight[8D]) I might need to do something to the prop since my esc is only rated for 60 amps.

But then again, there is the AQ UL-1. And that's been pushed to 64MPH and that has a 60 amp esc...

you could take a few mm off just to be safe. It's been awhile since I've used Nixx.

Believe me the Aqua hull was pulling way more than 60A when it went 64mph. It also has 14.8v nominal resulting in double the wattage compared to the 6 cells you were using.
