3/16th drive with full speed master hardware is they way to go.
as for a2600 kv motor i am not sure of the size of said motor.
you will need a 540 can motor go on offshore electircs and look at a 7XL 540 fieago with one of the Xpower 100 amp esc's for 79 dollars
and you could run twi 2s1p batteries to make 4s1p at 25C 5000 mah lipo.
you will need 2s lipo batteries only because the hull can not fit a single 4s pack. so you need to wire both 2s together in series to become 4s1p

This is one cool boat to build and learn from. As of now I am experimenting with AOA (Angle Of Attack) of sponsons to loosen boat up using the lower powered but reliable SV 27 esc/motor.

Hey Detox!

Have you tried the new AC 6 pole motor and 60 amp controller on it yet? Just curious about it since I bought that system for my Insanity build. Also, can screws be used to hold the sponsons in place instead of that wire you're using? Why wire?

Thanks,
Kent

I'm looking at the photos of the one that's being built in the other thread and that one has hte ride pads in the back and yours does not. You are obviously running it that way. What do you know about those ride pads. Some designs need them? some don't?

wire is better then screws. when you screw a screw into the boom it will shatter and peel back the composite.
wire is lighter and will do the job just as good.

No I have not, but if Taylor says it will work ...it will work. I believe the new UL-1 motor/esc system would be a great system for this rigger.

Are you talking about the ride pads attached to rear of sponsons. This mod will hopefully loosen the boat up a little more using the lower powered SV 27 system. Loose is fast and temps will be lower.

Hey Cadi!

Thanks for the info on that. No screws in the booms then. Hey, by the way, great kit you have designed!! Also, on you're Cadi Insanity (red rigger) what turn fin is that mounted on your boat?

Thanks,
Kent
