Default Micro/Mini Receivers

All you people with mini or small boats with min/micro receivers what are you using?

So far the only one Ive found reasonably priced is the Team associated TR203A that comes with the XP2 transmitter. About $20-30 on E bay shipped.

This is AM only though. Im looking for something a bit better...

Advice?

I have a Spektrum AR6100 that I run with an aircraft radio. It's really tiny, a good match for these boats. Plus the short antenna doesn't look bad or make the boat top-heavy and draggy, and the boards water-proof nicely with DP270.

Little less than 2g once you remove the sticker, you can soldier directly or make up some molex connectors... No interfering with others and vice versa, no glitching. If you go outta range it will shut off or how ever you binded it(if you had throttle on during binding I think it defaults to that) Antenna needs to be sticking straight up out of boat and line o site. I've confirmed 250m range in boat(which isn't required for my 12.5" boat as 100-125m have trouble determing which way it's pointed), in plane, is more but don't have gps in plane to figure out distance(guessing 300-400m easy, better if away from servo's or esc etc.).

On 2.4g it's legal to use either type of radio for either surface or air. The surface/air law only applies to 75/72 MHz. I did it because at the time it was all I had. Now I have a DX3R and use SR3xxx's, but I'm converting a DX6i to twin stick operation for a scale boat.
