Default cutting down rudder?

Is there a thread or guid to cutting down the rudder on boats that have been modded? I have a cheap 32" that i have modded with lipo and now the rudder is way to touchy. I dont want to cutt to much from it. It this a common practice of cutting rudders? thanks

I was going to ask the same. Is switching to lipo the only mod? Is the steering different or is it just that the boat is much faster? I don't honestly know if cutting it down would make the steering milder. You may gain some speed from the reduced resistance but duno about the touchy steering.

Oh no this is a 50$ boat RTR form Raidentech. No epa's or nothing. Nothing is proportionate. Its one speed for throtle and full left or right rudder lol. I am going to put a reall rx and servo in it but was just wandering if its common to cut down the rudder to reduse drag or make strearing less twichy. thanks

It will definately reduce drag but if you are going to put a good servo in it and make it go fast you may want the whole rudder. Add enough power and you won't be concerned with rudder drag.
