Hi everyone, i am new here around here and i am new to rc boats as well.
I've just purchased my first boat couple days ago, and after charging my batteries, i've decided to do a test run. As i was testing it out i've realized that boatwas not going as fast as it should, and the motorwas running unstable. I was having trouble making turns, and boat was going in to different directions even if wasnt trying to make any turns. Anyways, i am not an expert, but i think there is a problem with the esc. I've checked the manual and tried to do an amp adjustment with the setup button located on esc. I've also tried 2 different batteries, and all the batteries in the transmitter are brand new, but i am pretty sure its the esc because i can tell that motor is losing power and suddenly speed up again.
Iknow it's not a fancy boat
but i am hopping that this is an general issue with ep boats and any help with this issue will be very helpful. Thank You.

Unauthorised turns and throttle suggest a problem with radio gear. Try a range check. Then swap out different radio components (rec, servo) and try again. If you think its esc, then swap that out and test again. I know its hard to do if you're new to this hobby because of a lack of parts and extra gear that long time boaters have accumulated. You can also ask for help at the shop you bought it from.
