Default 2 stroke oils

I'm curious what kind of 2 stroke oils are you all running in the zenoah 26? Besides what the dealer sells. Is XD-100 safe to run?

you may get a lot of opinions on that one but here is a few choices;

Morgan cool power blue synthetic,
Klotz Super TechniPlate,
Maxima 927,
Belray MC-1,
Castrol A747,
Honda HP2,
Amsoil Dominator,
Amsoil Saber pro,
Motul 800,
Royal purple TCW 111 racing,
quick silver premium,
RedLine Racing.

only to name a few.

approx 5oz to the gallon on a stock engine and
8 to 10 oz per gallon on a mod engine.

I run Dominator @ 16:1 (8oz per gallon), I may give the cool power blue a try.

Mercury Quicksilver SAE@ 8.5oz/gal with Sunoco 110 Leaded (simply cause its ethonal free). Been 75+ with cat..so doubt the high octane is killing power since its run the same on 87

??? You do know that the combustion engine was originally designed to run on ethanol don't you. Petrol didn't exist when Henry Ford first made the Model T. When the Americans Introduced probation he had to find another fuel source as ethanol is pure moonshine, hence why we have fossil fuels today.
I run BP Ultimate with full synth oil, 40/1 but I do use 98 octain with ethanol some times as do the whole field in the V8 Super Cars, They use a 98% mix with 2% petrol and the 2% petrol is only in it so people won't drink it. It is not a problem, It's more the crap that the rip off petrol stations over here add to it. "Ahhhh 1000 apologies", So I should bloody thing so .
I've used it in my Quads, Karts, Bikes and Cars with no Issues.

"Go Well, Go Shell" Says it all IMO .

the problem with ethonal is it attacks the rubber parts (diaphrams). I was going through a diaphram every weekend running unleaded w/ "up to 10%" ethonal. Since switching to ethonal free race gas, i have not had to change a diaphram in 3 months..and this is with engines turning upwards of 20,000rpm.

Doesnt cause much of a problem in low RPM engines... but it causes fuel delivery problems when you are trying to turn 18000-19000+.

Well I don't know what's going on there. I won Australian Kart titles using ethanol fuel and Karting is very close racing.
Do you spray your boats with anything like CRC, RP7 or alike? That eats into rubber.

As I said our V8 Super car racing over here use it in every car, It's made from sugar pulp by CSR, I know the Bloke who is designing the new speck engines for the class and he gave me the Info I posted above. They wouldn't use it if it were no good, Ever heard of Bathurst ?

no i dont spray my boats with anything.. and it would not get into the carb where the diaphrams are anyway if i did. Plain and simple it attacks the rubber. Ethanol is also a polar solvent..so it absorbs moisture. Maybe you have different ethanol over there, vs the corn based ethanol here.

Thanks guys for all the information. Decided 2 go with quick silver premium. Its the only one i can get my hands on down here for the time being. Our gas down here is ethonol free so I think I'm safe.

Good choice. Been running it 8oz. to a gal for a while, with no issues. I'm not a "Snake-Oil" believer......

E10 mixes fine with the oil it will just kill your carby, you can run what ever you want but use all the fuel you mix as E10 also absorbs water.
