RE: 41 Falcon cat build
OK the hull balances with the alum pipe underneith(instead of broom stick) at 14in .So that puts my motor from transon to center of ext pipe at 15 1/16 in this works out to be 34 %
41x.34 = 13.94 I am doing this rite RITE the balance point should be the point on the bottom where it teeters back and fourth.

Jake , make sure you are doing the balance with everything in the boat , including radio box servos , batteries , pipe , fuel bag.
Everything should be mounted in the boat except for the motor.....you can move the engine back and forth till you teeter toter on the stick. Safe to bet you could go to 35%.
Thats red sprintcat a page back is the sprintcat I built for my buddy and we had the QD pipe chromed locally. We just got our other hotpipes chromed and picked them up today. I'll post some pics before the weekend is over.
Good luck Jake , Wally

At 35% it moves the motor up to 15 1/2 to center of pipe flange balances on the bottom at 14 1/2.This is with the Bucks box like how it is flat on the bottom,so I guess I will get another one for the Sprint cat.

Jake i think that the skeg on the bottom of your strut is a good idear. My cat slides big time at speed around corners. I dont have one and thinking of giving it a go.

yup, it's so funny of the gps thing, I was imagining how interesting it would be if my wife and I were using two clocks to find the speed, the life is too boring, I should try it one day for fun.

Something like this? I'm thinkning that the purpose of these were to get rid of the "tailgate" effect of the transom like a pick-up truck.

RE: 41 Falcon cat build
the sprint cat has the less weight then the other cats like stryker F-41, insane cat and etc. just ordered a rigger prop from chris as he told me someone ran it at 92mph if that is true, my rigger would add more miles.
