Default Rio-51 Re-Power

I'm new so bare with me...

I have a Rio-51, looking to scrap the Fuji. (too many issues) I have been checking out BH Hanson, and looking to do the whole works with them. (engine, header, pipe)

Any comments/suggestions on them? Anyone know what header pipe I would need to order from them, or pipe length?

any suggestions are appreciated...

Cool thanks for the help...

So I'll get the RCMK S-254 EVO ENGiNE, and the Torquemaster pipe!

Does any one know what header degree I should order???

And where should I get mounts?

Bruce (GizmoMotors sell mounts, pipes, etc etc etc CC Racing stuff. I have a set of SpeedMaster Mounts on an SX254 and that ere just awesome. Billet aluminum looks pretty cool.

My EVO should be here tonight and I hope to get it swapped into the Dumas Scarab Resto...5+hp over the Zennie in it now should be a hoot!!!!

I ordered a 100* header from Bruce to put in my Rico Offshore with the RCMK SX254 to get the pipe out over the transom in the center. I am not sure on the Rio and the distance from the transom to the spark plug. A 90* 1 or 2" offset and you may be aboe to keep the pipe hidden under the hatch and jsut peak out of the transom.

The picture is with a 90* 1" offset...the pipe is a "Quiet Pipe" and is roughly 2" in diameter at the back of the pipe...there just is not enough room to cut that BIG of a hole in the transom...Call Bruce and ask what you need.

Yes, they do, in a way. What you've got to watch out for is clearance issues between the motor mount and the pull-starter. On some mounts you will have to add #10 washers to make sure that the starters pawls aren't hitting the flywheel pawls when the engine is running. This is easy to see without having to start the engine. You don't want too much gap either as that can also do damage when starting. Don't ask me how I found out so quickly.

My buddy over in Sunrise beach is expecting his new EVO this week also. He has been waiting about 3 weeks (out of stock).

I thought this guy was fast shipping and a honest person to deal with? I know he told my buddy that he would have more motors in the first of August, but his website said out of stock will ship 2nd week of August. Now here it is 3rd week of Auust and my buddy and Floggin Harvey are expecting their motor yesterday and you are saying he don't even have them yet???????? I not calling this guy a lying or accusing him of being dishonest, but I will be keeping an eye on this issue.

I don't know what the problem is. What little I do know is that you can't count on shipping or customs to get things through on time. Gizmo must be overwhelmed with orders.

Motor arrived! GizmoMotors is a really good retailer (and no I am not on his payroll). I have spent more than I care to mention with him over the last 18 months and he ships the forst order before I break somehting and can get it in the same shipper.

Dockman's buddies motor arrived Saturday. I look forward to running mine and hooking up with Dockman to check his buddies out soon.

The EVO order from overseas got held in Customs.

The pipe on the Rico Offshore pictured above is a Jeorentune Quiet Pipe made out of aluminum here in the states and retailed by CC Racing motors. They offer exceptional performance and keep the noise down in the LO mid 80Db range! They are no PowerMaster or QDHotpipe but offer great performance and low low low noise. They arefast becoming the standard affair in Europe because of the STRICT noise constraints when my neighbors are happy I can happily run my boats! Easy for everyone.
