Default New To Gas Boating Need help

I have A Warehouse Magnum 57 with a zen G260 engine with a clutch. It has A 75mm prop alum with A 105 pitch.
When I give it gas its reves up and throws a lot of water and moves slow at frist and it will get up to speed but it takes a 20 to 30 yards to do it[] Ahould I use a Brass Prop or am I useing the wrong size prop? Thanks for any help.
Tom

You can go smaller on the prop but it sounds like the problem is in the clutch. It may need new shoes or just plain removed.
In stepping down on the prop, go to around 70mm. That would place less stress on the clutch and also get the boat out of the hole easier.

Yea what the last post said, Also if its the WHH spd 3 drive it's normal. My team pro also takes a bit to get on plane, Its a common issue with surface drive set-ups. If the clutch is slipping it will extend the time it takes to plane correctly.

Guess my question would be how she performs once she is out of the hole and up on the plane. Some boats take a little more effort to get up and running and some can take more work than others (depending on prop)

My super G has a great prop on her but still takes some effort to get up to speed

While my GTX takes a lot more effort

no guru by anymeans but wouldn't a slightly larger or more aggresive pitched prop get it out of the hole faster.

You are correct, But remember on a surface drive prop only one blade is in the water at any given time, So the cavitation that you see is common until the boat gets enough speed to plane. So a larger pitch prop might get it up and running faster but i will load the engine and reduce top speed. Often the correct prop for a sport boat will cavitate but at top speed it lets the engine find its sweat spot for rpms. Nice super G love those boats !!
