I set mine up to idle between 5500 and 6000. According to Proboats manual you should be 3500 to work with the clutch. Again I go back to lower vacumm once you modify the engine for increased flow means higher idle speed.
Is that in the water or on the stand?

No clutch and the tuned pipe were a big help. Boat jumps up on the rear sponson pretty good. I did not get to run but a few laps because the first pipe oring was leaking (man them headers are hard to get shoved in). I did not check my speed due to the leaky header but the boat looked pretty good. The boat pulls to the right pretty bad, so I adjusted the radio and then it pulled to the left just a tad. The boat really takes off when I get it going straight. I still have lots of bugs to work out, but tonight was a lot better trip to the pond.

Do you guys run both rudders? I would like to pull one of my off, but not sure if that would be enough water supply to cool the motor and the pipe? Also about how many feet do you run WOT to reach top end. I don't think my test pond is big enough for an inexperienced driver or a BJ55 that will roll over easy? I figure that I'am getting about 250' from right out of the turn till I need to ley back off the gas. The boat seems to still be pulling on top end?

Stand or water should make no difference if your talking with the clutch. Without the clutch the number I gave is on the stand.
