RE: 21 Tunnel Talk
Hello every 1
Im looking to purchase a Vision or a lynx tunnel 3.5 , I cant seem to find those tunnels anywhere. I have tried to sign up with International waters but for 3 weeks now I have got no response from the host of that forum.
Or does any 1 have some good advice for a great hull that will be running in some what smooth water with occationally tiny chop. Whats new ?

RE: 21 Tunnel Talk
Aloha every 1 , Well Saturday i finally got to run my VS1 with an out of the box OS .21 , The conditions were windy and I have come to think thats this isnt the boat for me. I think I need to add weight to my battery box I also had to flip my mtotr mount upside down so I can get more height from my prop. I am currently running the X438 and will be changing to a M440 or an X445 possibly a X642.
Running the stock set up the boat was flipping at every slight gus of wind. Dos any have any tipson a how I should be setting up this boat ? Every thing is well appreciated.

RE: 21 Tunnel Talk
I am running 11 oz. of lead in my VS1 - 1.5 oz. in each sponson tip, 4 in front of the radio box and 4 in back of the radio box.
The O.S. 21 Outboard will not pull a X445 and a X642 might be too much pitch.
Running 21 size tunnel boats in windy conditions is a challenge.

Thank you JD for your help. What is your height and prop angle set at and what kinda speeds are we looking at ? To my unersanding 49mph is the fastest handling speed for the VS 1 ? and do you know where I can purchase a Silver Bullet pipe and header or do you know of any other pipe that works well with that motor ?

RE: 21 Tunnel Talk
Mike Z the designer of the VS-1 refers to it as a non piped hull, Meaning designed for stock motors.
Low fifties is bout it and the hull gets flighty.
Prop shaft even with sponson bottoms or max of 1/8" above, bout a half degree negitive trim.
Mike uses shims or small washers on the top mount bolts between plate and transom.
Add weight as needed for conditions, GrimRacer 40x53 two blade is what I run on my K&B powered VS-1.

Update:
Tower Hobbies has dropped the TS3 and parts from its lineup.......
A few left in red and some other color choices at Amain Hobbies for now.
Hate to see this as I really like that cowl shape,
