Default prop and engine Upgrade question

[sm=drowning.gif] [sm=drowning.gif]

Well I finally got to run my nitro hammer with the upgraded Octura prop and the top speed actually decreased...A bit quicker out of the hole but top end it it lost about 3 mph...
Needless to say I tried tuning a little bit and was unable to achieve any more performance than the original ....My Question is has anyone upgraded the motor? I am thinking about the
Megatech m16...Or possibly the .21...Both are pull start..Any suggestions?

Also does anyone know what the hp specs. are on the original .15 motor.

Hello chmath159

I also planning to mess around with the propeller on the nitro hammer

What is the size of your upgrade propeller, X430,x432,x435......which one?

Whenever i lean the engine, I find that the boat is easy to flip at high speed.
I guest it will much more easier to flip if the boat powered by a .21 engine.

The prop that I tried was the Octura x435 balanced and sharpened...I was hoping to get more speed with it but found that the stock prop was faster...I haven't had any problems with the boat flipping and I'm running it pretty loose..

if you want great props to fool around with to see what will work the best go to www.offshoreelectrics.com
they have carbon fiber props that are cheap. its a great way to find out what prop works the best then you can get a brass one so it looks nice!!
