It's a bad idea to try to tune an engine out of water. When it's not in the water, there's no load on the prop. Running an engine unloaded at high RPMs is a formula for breaking the connecting rod.

I second what PC stated. When the mtor is fired up, does the motor rev right up (too lean) or hesitates a bit then rev's up (just right) or just bogs out (too rich)?????? Motor requires a load on it for it to properly work.

Every time that i accelerate it shuts off. I try to lean it and same result. I have still havent been able to run two full tanks on my hammer. Ran my first tank for breaking in the engine( two full turns from fully closed) and it ran fine but my second tank i lean it 1/8 of turn and it sarted to shut off every time. Also I have change my fuel tank for my second tank or could it be my glow plug (it glows bright). Any advice on what could i do?

I don't have one of these, but according to the manual, you're supposed to start with the needle 2.5 turns out. If you started at 2 turns out, it was probably already too lean. Try opening it up to 2.5 and then gradually lean it. Something to remember is that lean running will quickly wear an engine out due to excess heat and lack of lubrication. You want it to always be a little rich. As OB said, you want it to hesitate a bit when you rev it up on shore.

i remember when i broke my NH i spend a lot of time fishing it back coz it stall a lot but its part of the game.i started by closing it and make a 2.5 turn then make 1/8 turn each time toward leaning, i noticed the engine will run between 2.25 to 1.75 turn, so i'm just playing around with these turns... i also noticed the engine easily got flooded specially if it stall in the water, the tune pipe suck up water and so really hard to re-start i make sure i drained it and pour nitro over the cylinder just to wash out excess water before starting it.

The problem with any of the RTR nitro boats is that thye may have the carbs set for how they'll run in China or wherever they're made. This is only a basic setup. You have to further adjust it for where you live. I could set it up so that it runs great here, drive 70 miles away and it might run like junk. Ask any Nitro boat racer.

Yup, they say the air is different over there.
