Default Help me decide NH,AJ,SW???

I have no experience with any of these boats. I am experienced with RC and glow engines. I have researched many boats and have narrowed my choices to the Nitro hammer, aquajet, and shockwave.
I'm like the looks of the aquajet and the NH, I guess it really comes down to upgrades and parts availablity. I dont have a problem spending $150 more if the shockwave is worth it. I also dont want a money pit. Heck I even thought of the aquacraft V24 but I'm not ready to spend that much money on my 1st boat. So maybe you experienced boaters can give me your suggestions ? Thanks Dylan F.

Id go aquajet, they have a surface drive, I think offshoreelectrics.com has them with an .18 engine now for the same price as with the .16 engine...i have heard they run a little rough during break in but get alot better after that, for first upgrades I'd look at a prop, tuned pipe(I have a macs 2.5cc on my nitrovee and really like it), and maybe a carb upgrade which isnt completly neccessary just helps out a little...

Aquajet it is. Is there a thread devoted to this boat? What would happen if I put a .21 in it ?
Where do you buy turn fins and trim tabs? Thanks

I wouldn't upgrade the AJ to a .21, the hull won't take it. The .16 and .18 that come with them aren't the powerhouses that a decent .21 is.
If you have a little time to get a boat you may want to look at some other boats getting ready to come out.
Trim tabs and a turn fin should be included with the AJ.
We should have a big thread somewhere in here on the Aqua Jet as it is a popular boat.

I too was considering between the AJ and NH and went with the AJ, everyone said go for the NH because it has a tougher fibreglass hull and a waterproof radio box. I'm glad I went with the AJ as it looks much better, I'm about to paint some flames on mine, as far as the plastic hull goes I don't see anything wrong with it as I've hit a few things and it just bounces off no damage. I siliconed the joins on the servos and put the reciever and battery in balloons and when it tiped over in the middle of the lake for over ten minutes the radio gear was dry and still worked without glitches, with the pool noodles I've got in there it won't sink deep enough to get the radio gear wet, just lift it straight up and the water falls out.
My next mods are a tune pipe, offshorelectrics prop and some port work on the sleeve, hopefully it should fly after that as it doesn't knock my socks off standard as far as speed goes.
