Default Llumar flex shaft problems

I installed an O.S. .18 in the LLumar about a month ago. Since this engine upgrade, I have gone through 2 flex shafts and 3 prop shafts. Am I doing or not doing something right here or is the boat not ment to handle that much engine.
Is there anything I can do as far as upgradding the drive line of the boat?

Thanks for any help,
Paul

I really try to avoid running a .125" flex shaft. Is it possible to fit a .150" flex shaft and stuffing tube in there?

It should be pretty easy to swap out the stuffing tube. Please post some pictures if you can, I'm interested in this conversion too. Thanks,
Tim
