Well, I guess this would be "Classic Rock." The last Dumas Deep Vee I had was about 1982/83.

hey, ive got a dumas deep vee to be finished... it was an old project of my dad's that he never finished... needs filler and paint... then engine, ect. I'm also working on a dumas sk daddle (trying to get grain filled and paint so it will look good) this is a good thread to have since i know these boats are hold and there are probably many things we could do to these then the stock dumas stuff. My dumas 40 is not a flex shaft, so the shaft is in two parts that hook with a ball joint... i thinking a flex shaft is gunna be much better what i dont know what to buy that will be able to go right in using the stock stuffing tube. I'd love to see pics of the dumas deep vee 40's out there. ill post a pic or two tomorrow (or just look in my models)

Yup, it's pretty ancient by todays standards but I did see a DV-60 at one Internat's race that I snickered at until he was smoking everybody there with it. The water conditions were less than ideal (can you say almost whitecaps on a pond?). His boat was about hte only one that could take the rough water running in stride.
He was a former IMPBA Prez so I think that he had an idea of what he was doing which didn't hurt.
