If you love crazy hp, I would consider looking at this [link=http://www.niagaramarinehobbies.com/MAC.21_1.htm]ENGINE.[/link] The hp/rpm figures are not skewed like most I have seen.
Yup, MAC makes nice engines, but they're not cheap. If I wasn't racing, I don't think I'd have one...

I run the CMB 21LS in my mono and I would agree that it is a top notch engine. But since they dont make it anymore you would be better to try the CMB .21RS http://www.hobbysupplies.com.au/CMB%20Engines.HTM Because of the good exchange rate that would enf up being $340us and I doubt shipping would be much.

Yes these are good motors. But I rather run a cheeper motor that wont kill my wallet!! Plus I'm knew to nitro motors. If I bought a cheeper and blow it up or recked it.I'm outof ,what 100 dollars or be out of 350-400 dollars!! Plus Ron told me that the cheeper motors are easyer to tune and stay in tune then the more costly one that you guys are stating here. The hotter .21 leo is 2.5 hp and topend at 40.000rpms for 65 dollars plus 10 dollars for shipping.I do want to find out how much is the Novarossi M528m .28 marine motor is?The guy who sells Rossi stuff hasnt emailed me back yet! That was a month ago!! The motor in my boat I'd payed $42 from ebay. The boat was $100 off of ebay.I got less then $200 dollars invested in my boat.

MissHydro

It is very true that the cheaper engines are much easier to tune but you must understand the reason for this is because they do not have 2.5hp at/or peak RPM's of 40 000. I don't want to call anyone a liar but I really do believe these numbers are skewed. The hotter(as in performance) the engine, the harder it is to tune because it is modded for max hp which limits the range for a proper/best tune. It's always a give and take relationship.

High prices are from the precise/intricate machining that is require on each individual engine.

Just A Thought

I don't know if I said that but we've talked about a lot of things lately.
Generally the intake and exhaust timings are milder plus running a lower percentage of nitro will make them easier to tune the carb.
Ryan, I agree with you on advertised numbers as I've been talking about tihs before. When the magazines got to where they wouldn't put those numbers in the ads as even they knew that they were outrageous. OS is about the only one thta I know of that is close to real world numbers.
Again, if a manufacturer wants ot put out such claims, show us how you got those. What Dyno, pipe, fuel, and other settings used to get their results.

I have to sand the hull to lighten up the hull and put a .21 in it!! Wave waker Do you still need my to take pics of that headder for you?Let me know? Now back to the motors!! If I'd had your guys money,I'd would burn mine!! That .21 of mine blowsaway that stuped.15 dynamite motor.I'm still ordering that hotter.21 from Leo.It has more power and rpms then my motor.[8D] That God I dont live in AU the prices of those motor are way too steep!! I don't know the exact numbers on a Nova Rossi .21 . I had one and it was fast until the con rod tried to exit the engine.

We might have to have a Fun Run on your side of the state at it would be closer for a lot of people. I have an idea now as to where misshydro lives, towards the middle of Ohio. I happened to stay the ngiht near her home once on my way down to King's Island. She was maybe 5 years old the last time that I was down that way.
Maybe we can meet up sooner as the Toledo show is coming up in April.

Wave waker,I'd used the stock .15 header that came on the Miss bud, just moditified it alittle.Just add the weld where I'd had circeled in red marker.the other one is the moditified on that is done. The other boat is the speedstorm That I'd had to sand and lighten up.The miss bud, well that was the I'd got riped off one and I'd add reson and made it to heavy,so I'd cut it up to see if I can save the hull. That might be a maybe on that!

Hay WAVE WAKER!!!This is what I'd came up with on the big flow header on our boats! I'd drilled out the inside the hexs header port to match the inside hole. Its super glued in two small places and marked it for the guy to tig weld it for me.It's 5/8 size now.Let me know what you think?!

I like the drawing of the Blue Angle boat. I,m buying a big yellow boat from a friend at work and want to paint it another color. I am thinking of a Red Bull paint scheme. Yellow is cool on a Cub airplane but I don,t care much for it on a boat. Your Bud boat looks fast just sitting there in the still water.
Sorry bro, already taken.
