Default hey everybody

hey, i dont know if any of you remember me (ron might), but anyways, ive been out of this hobby for awhile and i still have a old nitro hammer in my basement and i wanted to get it working. the stock .15 is blown so i need a new engine for it. i dont want anything that too expensive. (under 100$) the cheaper the better. i still have all the radio servos and stuff. so that wont be a problem. i havent ran this boat in like 2 years. so hopefully everything else is good. i'll just greese up the drive shaft and replace all the fuel lines. what engines would you recommend me? thanks

The AquaCraft 18 will bolt right into the Nitro Vee mount.

Here's a link to the engine Jerry mentioned: http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXMPH1&P=7

Note to anyone who may have one of these lying around. If you're going to offer it up, remember that buying and selling should not be done in the forums. So, please do it outside the forum. Thanks.

Jerry, I know that motor is made by OS...do you know if it is a CV, CV-R, or something else??

TIA,

will the AquaCraft 18 fit directly into the Nitro Hammer without any mods?

cause i checked out that engine and it seemed to be a good engine and i liked the price.

The AquaCraft 18 is not based on the O.S. CV. I would say it is a "milder' engine than the CV.

The AquaCraft 18 will bolt into the Nitro Vee. I actually tested a preproduction AQ 18 in a Nitro Vee. I really cannot say it was noticably faster than the AQ 18.

when you say "Nitro Vee", do you mean the Nitro Hammer? cause i beleive the nitro vee is a totally diffrent boat. im just alittle confused. the nitro vee and nitro hammer might have diffrent engine mount specs.

nevermind! i just got the specs, did the math and they should line up fine.

Yeah, I mean the Nitro Hammer. Sorry for the confusion on that.
